Es un privilegio participar de nuevo en otra iniciativa de interés que nos presenta la comunidad sobre la pregunta de la semana: ¿Qué hábitos o adicciones, tanto buenas como malas, has desarrollado que te gustaría eliminar?
La pregunta es realmente muy interesante, ya que en mi caso particular, he desarrollado una fuerte adicción a la cafeína, que si bien tiene sus beneficios, su consumo excesivo me ha llevado a lidiar con ciertos problemas de salud que me ha causado, por lo que he tratado de eliminarla.
Warm greetings to all Hivers, especially the @ecoTrain community. It is a privilege to participate again in another initiative of interest presented to us by the community on the question of the week: What habits or addictions, both good and bad, have you developed that you would like to eliminate?
The question is really very interesting, since in my particular case, I have developed a strong addiction to caffeine, which although it has its benefits, its excessive consumption has led me to deal with certain health problems that it has caused me, so I have tried to eliminate it.
Con una taza de café / With a cup of coffee
Tomar café durante el día para mí es una pasión, es algo que realmente disfruto, sin embargo, los expertos consideran que su consumo debe ser muy moderado, para no perjudicar nuestra salud. La cantidad recomendada según los expertos es de 300 mg de cafeína, lo que equivale a dos tazas de café. Lo que consideran los expertos me parece muy razonable, tan interesante que me motivó a cultivar mi propia planta de café en el jardín de mi casa. Reconozco que soy una persona a la que le gusta consumir mucho café y cuando me despierto me tomo dos tazas de café, lo que me permite levantar el ánimo y darme fuerzas, además de despertar mis neuronas. Cultivarlo en mi jardín me llena de entusiasmo y mucho amor por la naturaleza.
Drinking coffee during the day for me is a passion, it is something I really enjoy, however, experts consider that its consumption should be very moderate, in order not to harm our health. The recommended amount according to the experts is 300 mg of caffeine, which is equivalent to two cups of coffee. What is considered by the experts seems very reasonable to me, so interesting that it motivated me to cultivate my own coffee plant in the garden of my house. I recognize that I am a person who likes to consume a lot of coffee and when I wake up I drink two cups of coffee, which allows me to lift my spirits and give me strength, as well as awaken my neurons. Growing it in my garden fills me with enthusiasm and a lot of love for nature.

Como hemos dicho, el café tiene sus beneficios, siempre y cuando se consuma con moderación. Si lo hacemos con base en los consejos de los expertos, entonces podemos experimentar los siguientes beneficios en nuestro organismo: activa nuestra mente, controla los dolores de cabeza, es recomendable para los deportistas, ayuda a perder peso, puede proteger contra el cáncer y las enfermedades coronarias, entre otros.
Cuando el uso de la cafeína es consciente y razonable, disfrutaremos de estos beneficios. En lo personal, me funcionaba muy bien el consumo de cafeína, en las mañanas solía tomar una taza al levantarme y la otra en el desayuno, lo que me ayudaba a cumplir con las recomendaciones de los expertos, sin embargo, comenzó un gran problema, que se fue agravando, ya que durante el día, solía tomar más de 6 tazas de café.
As we have said, coffee has its benefits, as long as it is consumed in moderation. If we do it based on the advice of experts, then we can experience the following benefits in our body: it activates our mind, controls headaches, is recommended for athletes, helps weight loss, can protect against cancer and coronary diseases, among others.
When the use of caffeine is conscious and reasonable, we will enjoy these benefits. Personally, I was working very well the caffeine consumption, in the morning I used to drink a cup when I got up and the other one at breakfast, which helped me to comply with the recommendations of the experts, however, a big problem began, which was getting worse, since during the day, I used to drink more than 6 cups of coffee.

Sin darme cuenta, me estaba volviendo adicta a la cafeína, tanto era el problema, que incluso por la tarde la tomaba, lo que empezó a generar un problema de insomnio. No dormía lo suficiente, lo que no generaba suficiente descanso para mi cuerpo y esto perjudicaba aún más mi salud. En cierto momento decidí eliminarla poco a poco, lo que generó otro problema, en el que la falta de cafeína me provocaba dolores de cabeza. El no poder controlar la cafeína me causaba muchas dificultades, lo que también aumentaba mi ritmo cardíaco. Actualmente, estoy tratando en lo posible de volver a consumir las dos tazas diarias recomendadas por los médicos, tengo esta lucha y espero deshacerme de este problema lo antes posible y hacer mi trabajo en el jardín, sin la necesidad de tener una taza de café en mis manos.
Without realizing it, I was becoming addicted to caffeine, so much was the problem, that even in the afternoon I was taking it, which began to generate a problem of insomnia. I did not sleep enough, which did not generate enough rest for my body and this damaged my health even more. At a certain time I decided to eliminate it little by little, which generated another problem, in which the lack of caffeine caused me headaches. Not being able to control the caffeine caused me a lot of difficulties, which also increased my heart rate. Currently, I am trying as much as possible to go back to consuming the two cups a day recommended by the doctors, I have this struggle and I hope to get rid of this problem as soon as possible and do my work in the garden, without the need to have a cup of coffee in my hands.

Totally agree, it is not easy to give up caffeine. Interesting answer.
I wouldn't say it is a bad habit because it has it good impact as well but since consuming enough of it have effect I think you should try and reduce it.

As for your addiction to coffee, try to replace the coffee during the day with spritz water, that’s what helped me. Thank you for posting in the EcoTrain community

Drinking coffee each day is beneficial but just as you have said, it should be done in moderation. When an habit isn't moderated, it really affect us. I hope you will get back to drinking two cups of coffee each morning just as you have done before.
