Do you still remember when was the last time you shook hands with a newly introduced person

Do you still remember when was the last time you shook hands with a newly introduced person? The last time you had your beso-beso with your love ones before saying goodbye? Or had your reunion with friends and families?

Have you ever missed the time when you could still travel without restrictions, and the need to take swab test? Or the moments you had to go to school with your friends and classmates, eating together in the cafeteria? The time you could still safely go to malls for shopping or dinning with your friends and family?

These were the things we normally do during the pre-pandemic. But now, things changed a lot. From the social distancing required, to the wearing of facemask and face shield every time you go out. From work from home set up to online classes. From social gathering to religious rites. Even graduations, meetings, and seminars are now happening online (Thanks to our technology and social media platforms). This is now the New Normal we know, and the New Normal that we need to follow for safety measures.

The pandemic hit us hard, and affected our daily activities, our jobs, our life style, our way of living, our routines, businesses, and even our economy. It drastically changed our lives especially to those who had lost their jobs, those who had lost their love ones because of COVID-19, and to those OFW’s who could not go home to their love ones because of the travel restrictions. Even our social lives and mental health have been compromised due to lockdowns and stay at home policy.

COVID-!9 pandemic changed my life and my perception about it. It changed the lives of everyone in so many different ways. And, we are of not even sure when this will all end. But, with the New Normal things that we have to adapt, and with all the restrictions that we need to follow, together, we can be able to survive this pandemic. Adjustments to New Normal may not be easy, but it will be all worth it.

I took the photo earlier this afternoon (wala pang ligo 😅) using my Iphone XS on portrait setting, studio light. I used illustration board for the black background, lampshade for the lighting, and Snapseed to enhance the photo.
