Photographing Animals| Our Puspin Lucky

I've been sharing photos of our Tabby cat, Lucky here in World of Xpilar community as my subject in some of the photography contests. And, I'm grateful to @adeljose for having this kind of contest where we can share and tell the world about our beloved fur member of our family. Now, let me introduce you our Lucky boy.

Lucky is a one year and 4 months old cat. He is a Puspin (the term we use for Filipino breed of cats).

He was the only kitten who survived among his siblings of four. All the kittens were attacked, killed, or worse eaten by other stray male cats when they were a month old.

Even our Lucky was bitten in the neck and almost carried by the cat who attack him. We found him bleeding and wasn't able to walk and move properly. We actually thought that he would die due to his injuries.

Lucky when he was 2 months old

With Lucky's determination, we didn't give up and tried our best to take good care of him until he was fully recovered. We forced feed him, gave him vitamins, cleaned his wounds, and gave him safe place to stay while recovering.

And with that, day by day, we saw the progress of healing. So my partner and I decided to take him home where he could be safer and be part of the family. That's where we got his name, Lucky.

He is already neutered when he as 10 months old. He was an indoor cat. We don't allow him to go outside for his safety and because he's really scared of cars and noisy machines that make him agitated.

He is our alarm clock every morning. He wakes us up by his loud meow. Then, he will come near you, lick you and bite you if you don't wake up to feed him or open the door for him when he needs to go to his litter box. He's litter trained by the way.
