WHY IS IT SO HARD TO MEDITATE?"

Before I say anything I would like to explain, what meditation is!

It is the technique in which a person focuses his mind on a certain object, to get a calm state, by closing his eyes. It is a good process to take our attention away from the worldly turmoil, and provide us calmness. Furthermore, it's not always important to sit on the ground to meditate, as we can also meditate by lying on the bed.

Whether you have ever meditated before or not?

For me, I have meditated only for two to three times, but I always used the second method of meditation. It was when I was stressed to make any decision about my academic career. I meditated by lying my body on the bed straight, with my head on the pillow, and eyes closed, I deeply focused on my breathing. I did it for almost 10 minutes, and finally I come up with a solution to it. It helped me to make right decision.

Second time I meditated, when I was almost going to cry for some family problems. It provided me peace and calmness, and I felt relieved. Although it is stress reliever for so many people, but for so many it creates headache and body pain due to the deep meditation. So try to do nothing during meditation, just meditate. As my cousin was really stressed, so she decided to meditate deeply to get some peace. But instead of reliving she was even more stressed. In her case meditation never proved good for her.

Although we can meditate at anytime, but some experts suggest the time for meditation is before sunrise, because our stomach is empty at that time. Moreover, the surroundings are peaceful, and silent.

Benefits of meditation:

It helps us to reduce stress and anxiety.

It plays great role to increase our memory, creativity and focus.

We can feel more motivated, and enjoy a good sleep.

It also helps us to focus on current conditions, and clear negative thoughts in our mind.

It provides us self-awareness, and concentration.

Some good tips for beginners:

Find a peaceful and comfortable place for meditation.

Set a time duration of 5 to 10 minutes in the beginning.

Sit in a position, that you can stay for a while.

If your mind starts to wander, just come back to focus your breath to get positive outcome.

So these are my thoughts, and experience about meditation, but I do it very seldom hardly for two to three times since yet, mostly whenever I feel stressed. But, I don't think I can meditate well, as I need more practice doing it in accurate way. So that's all for today.
