According to new UCL-led research, flowering plants likely originated between 149-256 million years ago. Although, these has been up for a lot of deliberations and some other people have said that flowering plants may not have lived as long as so called researchers claimed. However, I choose to believe flowers has lived as long as a weed has lived. Why weed? Okay........ lemme explain the way a Professor has defined during my undergraduate. A weed is the native specie of the land. Amazing 🤩. Ever wonder how and where all these things we eat originated from?? Let’s not get into history, but the maize we eat as corn or processed into another food is a weed on a land you want to plant Cashew tree and Vice versa. And almost every plant has flowers.
Why are flowers so beautiful?
The beauty of a flower is a by product of what it takes for the plant to attract pollinators says dePamphilis. Talking about the scents, color and size which makes it beautiful and breathtaking altogether.
Flowers are special because apart from the fact that they easily get into humans emotions, they have many meanings and sentiments. Some have records of been medicinal as they cure diseases and relief pains, and some are rich in nutrients. All parts of hibiscus are edible but not all types of hibiscus are good for making tea and and preparing food. So, always make sure the hibiscus you plan to take in is edible. However, to avoid risk, it’s better to make sure the hibiscus flowers are dry
