What things could we do differently to reduce climate change?

in ecoTrain3 years ago

Hello ecotrain lovers, wherever you are in this part of the world, may you all be well and healthy. I am starting my post with this wish.

My post today to answer QOTW season 10.2: What can we do differently to reduce climate change?
Undoubtedly this is a very interesting and important question.
Which teaches us to think anew.

Now first we need to know, what is climate?

The answer is: The average type of weather in a place over the years is called climate. Climate change is the change in the known type of weather.

Now first of all what does this change mean for us? Scientists say that climate change will change our way of life. Water crisis will be created. Food production will become difficult. The weather situation will become abnormal. In particular, extreme famines, fires, and floods will increase the risk of food shortages for millions of people.
Some parts of the world will get dangerously hot. And with that the sea water will rise and flood many areas. As a result, all those places will become uninhabitable.
So we all need to be more aware before this horrible consequence comes down to the world. And not just if we are aware. For this we have to take quick and effective steps.

Scene of my uncle planting crops and planting trees

Several months ago I posted a post about this ecotrain community.
That is it.
I went to my village home.
One of my uncles planted many trees near the crop land.
I asked my uncle, what is the need to plant trees like this next to the crop land?
In reply uncle said, if I just plant trees in the crop land, then where will I produce the crop?
Because many of us don't have that much land.
So it becomes two things at once.
We satisfy our hunger by producing crops.
At the same time we try to maintain the balance of climate and environment by planting trees.
I was very happy to hear that from my half-educated uncle that day.
How far-sighted his knowledge!

However, there is no end to the steps that can be taken to change the climate. Due to rising global temperatures, the world's leading climate scientists have warned, "Do something now or risk a crisis!"

But in my opinion, there are 5 ways we can reduce global warming.

1. Using public transport:
Using walking, cycling or public transport instead of using private cars will help reduce carbon emissions as well as keep us fit.
We can also choose an alternative mode of transportation in the city. If we do not have access to public transport. But make sure you choose the politicians who will provide the alternative means of public transport.

2. Prevent energy wastage:
If you have to wash clothes in the washing machine, do not dry it in the machine's tumble dryer, but in the sun or in the wind. This will save electricity as well as drying clothes. In addition, burning fossil fuels for electricity can be avoided.
To keep the room cool, keep the AC temperature at 25 degrees Celsius or higher. And use to reduce the temperature of the heater to heat the house.

Install a cold-resistant layer on the roof to control the normal temperature of the house in winter. Take care to keep the roof cool even in summer.
Unplug electrical appliances that are not being used and turn off the switch.
While these may seem like small changes, each is a very effective way to save energy.

3.Cut down on meat and become vegetarian:
The production of red meat produces significantly more greenhouse gas emissions than the production of poultry, fruits, vegetables or grains.
At the Paris Climate Conference, 119 countries pledged to reduce carbon emissions from agriculture.
Increase your dependence on vegetables and fruits instead of meat in your diet. If this sounds too challenging, cut back on meat at least once a week.
You can also play a role in protecting the environment by reducing the intake of dairy foods. This is because the production and transportation of these foods emit large amounts of greenhouse gases.
Choose locally produced seasonal food instead of imported food. And avoid wasting food.

4.Try to recycle everything - even water:
We are repeatedly told about the benefits of recycling.
But a large amount of carbon is used in the transportation and processing of materials that are required to make an object recyclable.
Even so, owning one is still beyond the reach of the average person. But recycling the products can further reduce the damage.
The same thing applies with water.
According to Aroma Rev., "We should conserve and reuse water. In particular, we should try to be involved in rainwater harvesting."

5.Raise public awareness:
Spread the word about climate change and it is the responsibility and duty of every educated person in the society to educate the people about it.
To carry out more and more tree planting programs and to increase public awareness and take initiatives.
It can achieve a green standard of living.

"When billions of people practice these changes every day, they will be able to achieve sustainable development with almost no impact on their well-being," said Aroma Ravi.

Let us all unite and redefine the world.Everyone learns to live anew

Thanks everyone
