Fascinating. I have an experiment going at the moment, with my plumcot. I need to prune out a big, central branch to get the open vase shape; so I'm trying a technique I saw online. Never would've thought to apply honey, but it makes a lot of sense. I'm only a couple of days from the big reveal. Fingers crossed.
