I'm glad to see your response to this question, very interesting read and it also made me realize that I had all 3 elements you mentioned just once in my life so far or at least something closest to it since it still felt like 'something' was missing.
Falling in love with fantasies is definitely something that happened to me a few times and I'm glad you pointed that out as I feel like us, women, are more likely to have these tendencies (just my opinion though, I might be completely wrong on this one).
Actually I don't know if there is a gender bias on the love fantasy thing - tough one to measure!
