Thanks for the update

lol no problem

Amazing job, I've never done this kind of work, being a honey farmer I don't think it's easy as I'm proud of.

Heh yeah I hope one day to get some honey.

You are very experienced about honey, and how to cultivate honey bees, I really enjoy your work.

thanks alot, glad you like my posts.

Are you planning to order another hive next year to replace the one that was lost?

Yes, but will probably be in a different location. The place my current hive is at is changing owners of the land so I may not be able to keep them there. Looking for somewhere else to right now to have them.

That's a shame. You put a lot of effort into prepping the site and setting the work area.

Yeah true, but its okay. I can rebuild somewhere else.

Do they basically hibernate through winter? They keep nourished through their own honey? Fascinating. Bees have enough to put up with without worrying about Hive beetles too! How much honey do you get from one Hive per year?

I'm sure you've answered some of these questions before so I'll check out your previous posts.

Have a great weekend.

Yeah they really slow down during the winter months, eating their own honey and pollen they built up over the autumn and summer.

I have not gotten any honey yet, first year raising them. Maybe next year I will get some.

Very good post you have made ever!

ah thanks, glad you thought it was my best post ever :-)

Yes, your post is really nice.

thank you very much

I would love to have bees, but my husband is allergic. Would salt that goes in a water softener work? You could get it in 40 pound bags.

Ah well wear a bee suit if your worried about getting stung.

Hmm maybe, if its just straight salt it should work. I will look into that.

I believe it is just salt, we use it to salt huge amounts of clams to freeze for fishing with.

Oh ok I will look for some.. thanks for the tip.

Really enjoying your Bee updates. Thanks @solominer!
Annabelle.

Thank you. I hope so. I may open the Hive one last time before letting them be through the winter.

Glad you like them, I will post more when I have some more updates.
