Quite a bleak future you're describing, though it does make a lot of sense. Some things have never changed, even in a thousand years. However, each action has a reaction, and ultimately "we can't keep going like this". Okay, we may try, but once pass certain limits, we'll have to face something completely new. Who knows, in the end there may be developments for the better as well.
