RE: Hurt People, Hurt, People - Ending War

in ecoTrain6 days ago (edited)

First I thought you got that from that El-Sayed controversy between him and the attorney general, who is Jewish, when he came out after an attack on a Jewish institute and said hurt people, hurt people, I guess he went on to condemn the attack but the attorney general had the impression he was trying to rationalize the behavior first. She opted out of attending the democratic primary convention, which says a mouthful really, despite the other day saying she wouldn't vote for the opposing party over it, but she doesn't appear in any way going to support this dude either. Probably skip out voting for either.
Honestly though, I don't think it's as simple as you put it. Just because their wasn't guns, tanks, etc., in the early beginning of man, doesn't mean they didn't war with each other in other ways. For whatever reason, and I am not so sure it always relates to how someone is brought up, it is instinctively inherent in men to war with each other. Doesn't matter background, upbringing, race, they all tend to do it. Since there is no simple answer of resolve, why the push toward controlling people, now that the technology exist, through a digital system that will allow them to easily adjust a person's behavior by the push of a few keystrokes denying them basic necessities of life.

Sort:

"Hurt people, hurt, people" Is an old spiritualist/semi-psychology saying.
Really old.
back in the 50s, at least.

However, neo-liberals like to use it to say that we should be kinder to criminals.
But, letting them loose to commit more crime is not kindness.
We need to heal the childhood trauma. And that is HARD, and psychology today does not work on this, especially for boys. And yelling at them/shaming them only makes things worse.

And, the technology doesn't work, when that area of the brain is fried.
Like, men are walking away. The young men aren't even trying to date anymore.
The greatest motivator of men is now gone.
