RE: Gratitude Provokes Giving: Learning to Appreciate the little things in our lives.

That's a great attitude, to be thankful. I read somewhere and during a workshop a mentor also mentioned that gratitude is the most powerful energy to start your da with; it sets the day with the right energy, mindset, etc.

I sometimes forget to be grateful every morning though; still trying to make it a habit, but what I do stick to is when I feel sad or unmotivated or whatever negative feelings I have, I remind myself of what I am grateful for. For instance, when the water pressure is way too low and I feel annoyed I try to remember other people don't have access to water out of a tap.

wow. starting a day with gratitude is a good way to start a day indeed... I am trying my best to do that often every morning, taking 3 to 5 minutes of my time to kneel and appreciate the new day.

Ah yes, if you mean prayer in the morning, then that's a great start also.

In Suriname at the Christian schools we have something called "Morgenzegen" where the class and on Mondays the whole school, sings praise, prays and discuss a text out of the Bible. Growing up I didn't really realize the benefits of that routine, but now I know it was also to start the day with good vibes.
