"The music is not played" is a rough translation of the title of a song by Alejandro Sanz that talks about how music floats in the air, crossing time, becoming eternal:

"what goes in the wind,
it is the safest thing, do not doubt it,
that clings to time
and remains eternal in the heart.
We will all pass and it will be
remember it, a song,
The music is not played."

Inexorably poetic expression that fills spaces of synesthesia in the brain, always predisposed to make the intangible tangible, opposing and intertwining, in unison, the ephemeral and the eternal.
Music is not only chords and rhythms, it is spirit in movement, it is the essence and presence of creativity generating harmonies, audible and inaudible, capable of breaking walls and joining worlds, because even the deaf can join the musical magic.
When the @ecotrain asks what music is, the answer seems simple...

Music is like food for the soul. Who can say that music hasn't uplifted and touched them so deeply, like nothing else? How many times has a song saved you, or brought you comfort in dark times? Music is like a universal language we can all understand it no matter what country it came from.
The diversity of music and song we have in our world is breathtaking. Our ancestors and present-day artisans have explored music and rhythm to such deep levels, and all for the passion and love of it.
We all know how hearing a song can bring back some powerful memories, and love songs are the most famous of those songs that we remember. Theses special sounds are like a doorway through time and space and can bring back those same feelings and memories that we experienced so long ago.

As soon as one begins to reflect on it, a cloud of ideas envelops us and moistens our being, which vibrates from the simple fact of being transported to a transcendent musical moment, to a lyric linked to a memorable melody, to the song that beats within the chords "in crescendo", intense and dramatic as life itself, and that each soul decodes according to its state of consciousness.

In particular, music is part of my unique constant inner monologue. Rather, music distracts my inner voice that speaks and speaks and does not rest unless it is relaxed by music of any genre, preferably classical, the intense one, that which elevates something more than thought.

Like most people, I have favorite popular songs, but inexplicably, my spirit does not anchor and advance in its musical tastes.

I like the old and the new, I did not stop at any time, my mind values novelty, so I like to hear both rock and pop, ballads, boleros, tango, opera, cantatas like Carmina Burana, urban music, and primitive music. The more intense the song, the more attention I pay to it, and even if sometimes I don't understand the language of the lyrics, I still connect and enjoy the flight with the melody.

Sound and silence

One song that I think is great is "The Sound Of Silence", which performed by Disturbed is the best for me. I have to read the translation when I watch the video to connect sounds and meanings, but even without watching it I am passionate about the intensity recreated.

There is something floating beyond words and sounds that explodes sensations and emotions related to the passage of humanity on earth, something like what the poet Vicente Gerbasi would say in My Father the Immigrant: "We come from the night and towards the night we go".

A kind of journey from darkness to darkness that overwhelms my soul and makes it present in that instant in which one becomes aware that we are ephemeral beings searching for ourselves in the eternal, wasting life, wasting energy in races against time, in promises of another life, in the search for a God enclosed in temples, being that the Light shines in silence.

The music is not played, fleet

Then, trying to weave congruence between the question and the route of my answer, I rescue the transcendence of music as an immaterial treasure, as what survives us, what eternalizes our footprints and sublimates our spiritual essence. Music is not played, we flow in it.
