The idea of being able to "rent out" my art collection is intriguing. I wonder how other artists will feel about something like that. Personally, I like the idea of it. But I think this wouldn't work for "Private" licenced art, especially if there was a payment involved in renting out your art.
I like the idea of a digital art gallery being able to rent out multiple pieces at once so they can have constant change in their gallery. There could even be a subset of users that crop up as art curators, throwing together packages of art to sell to galleries.
That's kind of where I would like to see it go for sure. Another idea would be to do some sort of "rent sharing" where each artist gets part of the proceeds based on how many times their work is displayed, and the curator gets a set amount? Of course this is just spit balling at the moment hopefully other artists and collectors will see this and chime in with their opinions as well.
