When we get talking, something I would like to know about them is themselves, how they run their day to day life, how their routine is like,if there's like a morning ritual they live by, I'd say as a Nigerian, it really just basic stuffs for an average Nigerian you wake up in the morning, pray, take your Bathe, brush, and get ready for work or school if you are either a worker or a student, and weekends are mostly for laundry and on Sunday's you'd go to church if you're a Christian, I would also like to know if they work from home or if they do own any business of their own.
I would also like to know their views on fashion, their preferred mode of dressing, well individuals in different countries do prefer certain kinds of dressing codes/modes and I would love to know how it is with them, it is something I would want to talk about and yeah I will share mine too.
One more thing would be the food, you cannot go wrong with food conversations, having a Korean friend would mean trying out Korean dishes that they recommend to me and I already know I will enjoy it, I am a healthy eater, so I might probably want to stick to whatever they say is healthy to eat, I would do same because I love to cook and it will be more ways to bond with them. I guess it will be fun to actually try out something different for a change.
Lastly, I would want to know about the earning opportunities in their country, ask for ways to earn money and what's the best way to get started, I'll like to know which is better between running a business or just doing a normal 9-5 job, how their tax is, if it's favourable or a rip off because you can never go wrong adding knowledge to what you already know, if they have something that could be of interest and has good plans for the future, it's certain we would kick off almost immediately.
In conclusion I think having a friend from a different country might be bit challenging because of the big difference in culture, language, food, gestures and so on, but what's life without a challenge? Looking forward to that first foreign friend and I'm sure it's going to be a blast and it's going to be amazing.
This write up is really good. It's simple and clear. Having a Korean friend is really interesting. Having friends from a different country means learning new things and seeing life from a different angle, that would be really fun. This was such a lovely read.
