I want to participate in this initiative to choose a Korean word and explain why we chose it.
Honestly, I had no idea which one to choose, so I went to Google Translate and used the phrase I like best. I had no idea what that word was in Korean because I don't know Korean and I've never had contact with any language other than Spanish.
So I put my favorite phrase into Google Translate:
"Everything is alright"
In Korean, this phrase is:
모든 것이 괜찮습니다
And doing more in-depth research on the next page

"Everything is fine" in Korean you say 괜찮아요 (Gwaenchanayo) politely
The informal form is 괜찮아 (Gwaenchana).
There is another, more formal form, 괜찮습니다 (Gwaenchanseumnida), which is used to address older people.
I was surprised that in Korea they have a way to address older people; it says a lot about Korean culture, where older people are given greater respect. I like that, and we should emulate this behavior worldwide, where older people are a priority for everyone.
Thanks to this contest to find a Korean word, I learned about the importance that Korean culture places on older people, and that is a great learning experience for me.
Everything is alright I always repeat to myself, I internalize it, and when I have desperate situations where I don't see a way out, I calm down and tell myself Everything is going to be alright. It's a way to free myself and lighten my load a little during this time of economic crisis we are experiencing.
