Greetings, friends, today we decided to visit Beşiktaş, one of the perfect and lively districts of Istanbul. Beşiktaş is a crowded district in summer, winter, day and night. If the weather was sunny, we would have taken the camping chairs, filled the thermos with tea and spent time in Maçka Park. As the weather was not what we expected, we decided to spend time in the square. This area is quite large and pigeons are never missing from this area. There are people around who sell wheat for those who want to feed the pigeons. We spent some time here and watched the pigeons and the people feeding them. It's a really nice and pleasing painting.
Selamlar arkadaşlar, bugün İstanbul'un yine mükemmel, canlı olan semtlerinden biri olan Beşiktaş'ı gezmeye karar verdik. Beşiktaş yaz kış, gece gündüz farketmeksizin kalabalık olan bir semt kalabalıktan çok fazla hoşlanmam fakat Beşiktaş'taki canlılık, kalabalık beni rahatsız etmiyor. Hava güneşli olsaydı kamp sandalyelerini alıp, termosa çayları doldurup Maçka Parkı'nda vakit geçirecektik. Hava umduğumuz gibi olmayınca bizde meydanda vakit geçirmeye karar verdik. Bu alan oldukça geniş ve güvercinler bu alandan hiç eksik olmazlar. Etrafta güvercinleri beslemek isteyenler için buğday satan insanlar mevcut. Biraz burda vakit geçirip güvercinleri, insanların onları beslediğini izledik. Gerçekten çok hoş ve mutlu eden bir tablo.
There are a lot of cannons in Beşiktaş Square. They are quite tall and large. These cannons are symbolically placed for the wars of previous years. There are graffiti drawn on the walls of the side streets as we move a little further inside to the entertainment venues. In the summer, people sometimes even line up to take pictures in front of these graffiti.
Beşiktaş meydanında bir sürü savaş topu mevcut. Boyları epeyce uzun ve büyükler. Bu toplar önceki yıllara ait savaşlar için simgesel anlamda koyulmuştur. Biraz daha iç kısma eğlence mekanlarına ilerlerken ara sokaklarının duvarlarında oldukça güzel çizilmiş grafitiler mevcut. Yazları bazen insanlar bu grafitilerin önünde fotoğraf çektirmek için sıraya bile giriyorlar.
In the middle of the square, there is an eagle statue, which is considered the symbol of Beşiktaş. People gather around the statue and sit down and have a drink and chat with groups of friends, regardless of whether they are in the evening or during the day. We took a coffee with my friends and sat by the statue and chatted. One of the things that caught my attention is that there are quite a few cafes and cake shops around.
Meydanın tam ortasında Beşiktaş'ın simgesi sayılan bir kartal heykeli bulunmakta. Heykelin etrafında insanlar toplanıp akşamları ya da gündüzleri hiç fark etmeksizin arkadaş grupları ile oturup bir şeyler içip sohbet muhabbet ediyorlar. Bizde arkadaşlarımla birer kahve aldık ve heykelin dibine oturup sohbet ettik. Dikkatimi çeken şeylerden biriside çevrede oldukça fazla cafe ve pasta dükkanları mevcut.
After chatting around the statue, it was getting dark in the evening, and it was taking its place in the cold. We decided to go down to the beach together. We came across the tomb of Barbados Hayrettin Pasha on the way down to the beach, but unfortunately it was not open for visits, I will visit it when it is open and I will definitely share my visit with you. When we got to the beach, my friends said we should go to Üsküdar, but the weather was cold enough, we gave up on this idea. Despite the cold weather, we could not find a place to sit because of the crowd. Everyone, young and old, who had left work and wanted to breathe, came. After waiting for a while, we found an empty place and sat and watched the sea for a while. The lights of the ferry in the dark, its glow reflected in the sea looked really great. After spending some time we got up and made our way home.
Heykelin etrafında sohbet muhabbet ettikten sonra akşam olmak üzere hava kararmıştı, soğukta iyice yerini alıyordu. Birlikte sahile inmeye karar verdik. Sahile inerken Barbados Hayrettin Paşa'nın türbesine rast geldik fakat maalesef ziyaret için açık değildi, açık olduğu bir vakit ziyaret edip ziyaretimi de sizinle mutlaka paylaşacağım. Sahile inince arkadaşlarım Üsküdar'a da gidelim dedi fakat hava yeterince soğumuştu, bu fikirden vazgeçtik. Havanın soğuk olmasına rağmen kalabalıktan oturacak yer bulamadık. İşten çıkan, nefes almak isteyen genç yaşlı herkes gelmişti. Biraz beklemenin ardından boş bir yer bulduk ve oturup biraz denizi izledik. Vapurun karanlıkta ışıkları, denize yansıyan parıltısı gerçekten harika görünüyordu. Biraz vakit geçirdikten sonra kalkıp evin yolunu tuttuk.
