Let talk about self love.
Someone asked me after verifying all my content where pure mirror reflection of life and asked what would be my reason to get married ?
I replied self love ,loving me is the best gift I can give as offering to my partner and people around me.
For you cant give another what you cant give to yourself.
Someone once asked me, “Why would you want to get married?”
They expected an answer about companionship, society, or maybe even children.
But I paused… and I said, “Self love.”
They looked confused.
How can self love be a reason to get married?
Simple. Because loving myself is the greatest gift I can offer another person.
If I don’t know how to care for myself, how can I genuinely care for you?
If I can’t value my own peace, how will I protect yours?
Self love is not selfish. It is the foundation.
When you love yourself, you don’t enter relationships empty, begging to be filled.
You enter full… ready to share.
You don’t tolerate disrespect just to keep someone.
You don’t abandon yourself trying to become what someone else wants.
Instead, you show up whole.
Confident.
Grounded.
And that changes everything.
Because the truth is, you can only give another person what you consistently give yourself.
If you give yourself patience, you’ll give patience.
If you give yourself respect, you’ll demand and give respect.
If you give yourself love… real love… you’ll naturally pour that into your partner.
Marriage is not a place to find yourself.
It’s a place to share who you already are.
So my reason is simple.
I choose self love first…
So that when I choose someone else,
I’m not asking them to complete me—
I’m inviting them to experience the best of me.
