Decisiones que realmente cambiaron mi vida
Hace unos meses tomé una decisión que llevaba mucho tiempo posponiendo: dedicarme tiempo de verdad. No hubo un momento épico ni una gran revelación; simplemente me cansé de sentir que todo avanzaba menos yo. Entré al gimnasio para recuperar energía, orden y disciplina. Cambié mi look porque necesitaba que el espejo reflejara la mujer que soy ahora, no la que seguía viviendo en automático. Y, entre esos cambios, también me hice un tatuaje con un significado personal que marca este nuevo capítulo. Un recordatorio permanente de que puedo tomar decisiones por mí y para mí.
También empecé a leer más, a escribir y a estudiar un poco. Antes siempre lo dejaba para “cuando tuviera tiempo”, pero ese momento nunca llegaba. Ahora son hábitos que me ayudan a sentirme más conectada conmigo misma, a mantener la mente en movimiento y a construir una rutina que realmente disfruto. No son cambios drásticos, pero sí constantes, y eso ha hecho una diferencia real.
Cuando pienso en qué sueño he cumplido que haría sentir orgullosa a mi versión más joven, no tengo dudas: tener mi propio hogar y vivir sola. Tal vez para otros sea algo común, pero para mí significa independencia, estabilidad y la tranquilidad de habitar un espacio que respira a mi ritmo. Es un lugar construido con mis decisiones, mis esfuerzos y mis prioridades.
Mi yo más joven estaría orgullosa. No porque todo sea perfecto, sino porque logré llegar a un punto donde me cuido, crezco y tomo decisiones desde la libertad. Sigo aprendiendo, sí, pero hoy puedo decir con seguridad que por fin me tomo en serio a mí misma.

Decisions That Truly Changed My Life
A few months ago, I finally made a decision I had been putting off for way too long: giving myself real time. There was no dramatic moment or life-changing revelation—just the simple truth that everything around me was moving forward except me. I joined the gym to regain energy, structure, and discipline. I changed my look because I needed the mirror to reflect the woman I am becoming, not the one stuck on autopilot. And in the middle of all these changes, I also got a tattoo, whith a meaningful—a personal reminder that I can make decisions for myself, without hesitation or permission.
I’ve also started spending more time reading, writing, and studying a bit. These were things I always pushed aside for “when I had time,” and that moment never really came. Now they’re part of my routine, helping me stay connected to myself, keep my mind active, and build a lifestyle that actually feels like mine. They’re not dramatic changes, but they’ve made a real difference.
When I think about a dream I’ve achieved that my younger self would be proud of, the answer is clear: having my own home and living on my own. It may seem ordinary to some, but to me it represents independence, stability, and the comfort of living in a space that moves at my pace. A home shaped by my choices, my efforts, and my priorities.
My younger self would definitely be proud. Not because everything is perfect, but because I’ve reached a place where I take care of myself, grow, and make decisions from a place of freedom. I’m still learning, but today I can say that I’m finally taking myself seriously.

Owning a home is so beneficial personally. It is a foundation of stability for my kids and myself rather than moving from apartment to apartment, school to school and is a form of long termed savings and financial capital, an asset I can pass on to my sons.
