Good day to everyone and I hope you are doing good today. I found this community for women and saw they regularly posts contests. I decided to join this week because the topic is very interesting.

It was March of 2024, everyone was busy with graduation, exams and clearances. It's been a week or two since I spoke with this one person in my school. He was my crush. He was the inspiration that kept me going when things are tough at home.
This person, whom we'll call Carl, is aware of my feelings but I am also aware that him and I cannot be more than friends. Not only Carl is a year older than me and will be graduating soon but he also has a girlfriend at that time. This doesn't stopped us both from chatting once in a while as we are really good friends and I am also friends with his girlfriend.
So, there I was, sitting in the cat walk bench, with my notes spread all over the bench. I copy my classmate's notes for clearance and do some assignments needed to be passed for that week. Needless to say, I was very pressed for time.
As I was about to give up and take everything at home, someone stood behind me looking at what I was doing and suddenly put this fluffy thing in my head. Yes, that's the hat on question. As Carl put it on my head, without any questions, he took half of what I am doing and started helping me.
I really appreciated his kind gesture and was confused about everything. I gladly accepted the help and finished everything before going home. When I took the hat to my hand and will hand it out to him, he said that it was his gift for me. I didn't know what to say and just said, "Thank you."
I immediately took a picture when I got home.
This was my last interaction with Carl. No, he isn't dead. Carl went to the province after high school and that hat was a farewell gift for me. We still talk on messenger but we haven't seen each other since that day last year.
This hat is the reminder of my crush and a good friend when we were still at the same school. This is not a just a hat.

Huh!!!🥹 This story is so touchy. Well it's kinda a good thing he's aware of your feelings. The hat is an indication that he cherished your friendship, and he wouldn't want you to forget him so he gave you something that is visible and in use. Glad that you guys still communicate once in a while.
