In life, there is always that special person who shapes who you are, who helps to determine the person you become.
The word "dear mom would have sounded nice since this is meant to be a letter. But you know how weird I am and not so a big person in following rules to the tee. Therefore, I'll start with any thoughts that come to mind, so make sure you wear a big smile as you read.
Hello, Mama
Big woman. The main ingredient needed to make my food palatable. Specialist is your name because everything you touch ends up being so damn special. Just look at me, a beauty, a model, and a freaking damsel! You brought me forth into this world with so much strength that I ended up being strong.
It is all you. I got the beauty, the nice curly hair, the cat eyes, nice set of lips, sexy body and whatnot? Just because you took good care of me while you had me in your beautiful tummy and even when I came out of it.
You are a rock star who took care of me while I whined and won't sleep just because I like trouble. I heard people telling me I am kerosene because I never slept as a baby. I only sleep at night and wake up in the morning and won't sleep until night again. I wonder how you must have felt giving me sleeping drugs only to find my eyes wide open. I wonder how you went on with your day to day activities just with that thought in mind.
And when tons of sickness befell me, you never back down. You became a full-time nurse who can name every drug in the world without even going to a medical school. You did things effortlessly that I do wonder maybe... just maybe you are some sort of an alien, and I was scared that your people may want to snatch you away from me, so I became protective. But it turns out you were human... Hehe.
You are more than the word special because there's no word on earth that can describe you. I would have added “yet”, but I don't think it'd be ever possible to find that word even in a billion years. You are a fighter, a homemaker, a great disciplinarian, a hero, a lover, a friend, my main mermaid, and more. I have seen the qualities you possess, the life you've lived and still living, and I am proud to call you mother because you are real, true, and the greatest gem on earth. Your uniqueness is a glitter that keeps my heart beating.
Thank you for being my prayer warrior, a great communicator, and a listener. My fashion baby and my number one supporter. Well done, honey!
