Sometimes, passion should be a second option.

Hello, friends of this wonderful community, thank you for constantly reading my post and showing support, I am also really excited that the content I read from you is extremely educating and inspiring.
While we constantly try to motivate ourselves on the need to push ourselves, grow and become a better version every day, we need to understand as well that, there is a point when we need to try something different.

I was seeing a movie with a friend, it was the story of a young guy who loved to play football but had no one to support his career, he believed so much in his dream and he kept on pushing. He had the opportunity to work with some giant, well-paying institutions but turned down the offer as a result of his passion for football.

After trying for about 7 years without a result of getting into the international limelight, his close friend got another well-paying job for him that he could use as a side hustle while he pursues his football ambition, but he persistently declined help from either his friends or the members of his family with the hope that this football will certainly take him to the level he desires.

Unfortunately twenty years down the line, he became a local coach who started struggling to feed his family, all the opportunities that came his way previously were no longer available and he had to make do with what he had. He tried to reach out to his friend but the line was drawn between their status and it was impossible to get through to him.
The good thing is, that it is possible to look for a money-bringing occupation and still focus on your passion at the same time. From the story above, it would have been really good if the football guy, took the paying job and then worked on his football career over the weekend that is a great way to balance both his career and get an income source.

It is important to understand that sometimes our passion may not have the ability to sustain us financially, we cannot live a good life without having the financial capacity to sustain it. So, the moment you realize that a certain passion of yours you have been pushing for so many years is not bringing any financial addition, it is time to look for something that will regularly bring in money for you even while you make it a priority not to forget your passion.

You've spoken we'll @bimbo45 We need resources to nourish and nurture our passion to make them grow and glow. The guy in the story would have done better really.

It can be hard for some who's passion is so strong, to put it on a back burner to go after income instead. However, you are right; if it's been a couple of years and absolutely nothing is coming of it, then maybe the wisest choice is to go for income, hoping it's temporary while you work on your passion on the side. You just never know what doors may open should you choose to stop trying so hard on something that just seemingly is going nowhere. Thanks for sharing!
