Esta semana es super importante, ya que más allá de celebrarnos como mujeres es una semana en donde alzamos la voz por todas las injusticias y crueldades que tal vez no te sucedan a ti o a mí, sino que les ocurren a mujeres de otras culturas y de otros países. Pero como el post que escribiré es personal, lo quiero dedicar para homenajear a mujeres y a responder las dos preguntas que nos ofrece la semana n#73 de Ladies of Hive. Asi que alli les va!
This week is super important, because beyond celebrating us as women, it is a week where we raise our voices for all the injustices and cruelties that may not happen to you or me, but that happen to women from other cultures and other countries. But as the post I will write is personal, I want to dedicate it to honor women and to answer the two questions that Ladies of Hive week #73 offers us. So here goes!
1️- ¿Hay alguna mujer o mujeres que admires?
1️- Is there a woman or women you admire?
Creo que personalmente en mi vida hay muchas mujeres que me impulsan a diario. Como joven, creo que es fundamental conocer bien a las mujeres a las que voy a seguir así sea solo temporalmente, ya que ellas forjaran muchas cosas de mi carácter y personalidad. Así que hoy quiero mencionar primero a mi madre, como musico mujer, creadora de arte y a mi hermana que siempre siempre me dice que debo ser independiente, ellas hacen mucho énfasis en que yo misma debo conseguir lo que quiero por mis propios medios.
I believe that personally in my life there are many women who drive me on a daily basis. As a young man, I think it is essential to know well the women I am going to follow even temporarily, because they will forge many things of my character and personality. So today I want to mention first my mother, as a woman musician, creator of art and my sister who always tells me that I must be independent, they emphasize that I must get what I want by my own means.
Pero, en segundo lugar y no menos importante, quiero mencionar a todas esas mujeres bajistas y contrabajistas que veo en redes sociales y que han roto barreras dentro de mí. Ya que, al tocar un instrumento como el contrabajo, aunque muchos no lo crean, me han dicho muchas veces que ese “no es un instrumento para mujeres” o me dicen “deberías tocar flauta” o simplemente tratan de manipularme. Y gracias a estas mujeres valientes, mi carrera y mis estudios musicales han podido seguir adelante, ya que ellas me han hecho ver que elegí algo hermoso y un reto tanto musical como socialmente.
But, second and not less important, I want to mention all those women bass and double bass players that I see in social networks and that have broken barriers within me. Since, playing an instrument like the double bass, although many do not believe it, I have been told many times that this "is not an instrument for women" or they tell me "you should play flute" or simply try to manipulate me. And thanks to these brave women, my career and my musical studies have been able to move forward, because they have made me see that I chose something beautiful and a challenge both musically and socially.
2- Acabas de aceptar un puesto en la empresa en la que deseas trabajar. Cumples los requisitos de formación. Sin embargo, ¿qué te hace confiar en que puedes manejar las exigencias interpersonales que requiere el puesto?
2- You have just accepted a position in the company where you want to work. You meet the training requirements. However, what makes you confident that you can handle the interpersonal demands that the position requires?
Bueno esta pregunta creo que va en algún punto a la par de la anterior..
Well, I think this question goes somewhere along the same lines as the previous one...
*El primer motivo, es que como artista musico que soy, al entrar en un entorno laboral basado en la música, puedo lidiar actualmente en ciertas situaciones con más seguridad ya que la creatividad y la seguridad van de la mano. Y esto lo he venido trabajando desde hace unos cuantos meses para acá y que me ha hecho mas fuerte!!
- The first reason is that as an artist musician that I am, when I enter a work environment based on music, I can deal with certain situations with more security because creativity and security go hand in hand. I have been working on this for a few months now and it has made me stronger!
Creo que, en mi ámbito laboral, la libertad para crear ideas es muy importante. Me he demostrado a mi misma que puedo crear cosas sin que un vestido corto o un maquillaje lindo influyan por encima de mis ideas.
- I believe that, in my work environment, the freedom to create ideas is very important. I have proven to myself that I can create things without a short dress or a nice make-up influencing my ideas.
Y lo último, es que siempre, así no lo creamos, lo que hacemos, siempre será autentico. Siempre tendrá un color o un sonido que nos identifique. ¡La seguridad para enfrentarnos a lo que sucede no debería ser un peso, sino una forma de liberarnos emocionalmente!
- And the last thing is that what we do, even if we don't create it, will always be authentic. It will always have a color or a sound that identifies us. The security to face what happens should not be a burden, but a way to free ourselves emotionally!
