What life plans have you made for 2023, and will you be visiting friends and family more regularly? During the past two years of not seeing loved ones, have you changed your attitude instead of facing the future by visiting and caring for one another as you once did, standing by those in need of help, young people in desperate need of extended families, coming together to foster natural immunities or whatever life throws our way?
With inflation hitting most countries, what plans have you made to stay on budget? Are you informed before shopping, paying insurance and utility bills? Everything increases, except income, where many get no increase due to inflation, or worse, no income at all.
¡Hola a todos en la comunidad de Ladies of Hive! Aprovecho la oportunidad para pasar por aquí y desearles un feliz año nuevo antes de empezar con el artículo. Las respuestas que nos proponen en el concurso #115 de la comunidad son:
¿Qué planes de vida ha hecho para 2023? ¿Visitará a amigos y familiares con más regularidad? Durante los dos últimos años en los que no ha visto a sus seres queridos, ¿ha cambiado su actitud en lugar de afrontar el futuro visitándose y cuidándose unos a otros como se hacía antes, estando al lado de los que necesitan ayuda, de los jóvenes que necesitan desesperadamente familias ampliadas, reuniéndose para fomentar las inmunidades naturales o lo que la vida nos depare?
Con la inflación golpeando a la mayoría de los países, ¿qué planes ha hecho para no salirse del presupuesto? ¿Está informado antes de hacer la compra, pagar las facturas del seguro y de los servicios públicos? Todo aumenta, excepto los ingresos, donde muchos no obtienen ningún aumento por la inflación, o lo que es peor, no obtienen ingresos.
In previous articles I was talking about how this year end was personally somewhat strong because of all the commitments coming up for this year 2023. So answering the first question I would say that my plan for this new year is to secure my new home in another state in Venezuela. I am moving to Puerto Ordaz, Bolivar state and we have had to make some sacrifices to be able to move with our things and our pets.
It hurts me a lot to think that I will inevitably be far away from my family and friends. Of the few of them that were left in my country (since most of them have emigrated) now it will be very difficult to visit them even though we are in the same land. From Valencia to Puerto Ordaz is about 700km approximately. It is not easy to travel, the tickets are expensive, the transportation is unsafe and the hours are long. I don't feel safe sending my mother alone. It is simply not safe.
En artículos anteriores estuve hablando sobre como este fin de año fue personalmente algo fuerte debido a todas los compromisos que se avecinan para este año 2023. Así que respondiendo a la primera pregunta diría que mi plan para este nuevo año es asegurar mi nuevo hogar en otro estado de Venezuela. Me estoy mudando a Puerto Ordaz, estado Bolívar y nos ha tocado tener que hacer algunos sacrificios para poder trasladarnos con nuestras cosas y nuestras mascotas.
Me duele mucho pensar que voy a estar inevitablemente lejos de mi familia y amigos. De los pocos de ellos que quedaban en mi país (pues la gran mayoría ha emigrado) ahora va a ser muy difícil ir a visitarlos aunque estemos en la misma tierra. De Valencia a Puerto Ordaz son unos 700km aproximadamente. No es fácil viajar, los pasajes son caros, el transporte inseguro y las horas son varias. Tampoco me siento segura por ejemplo enviando a mi madre sola. Simplemente no es seguro.
So, even though I know that what we will do about moving, adjusting and working, I still have to see how I could take a space to be able to travel and visit my family and friends. It is also good to know that my partner has family in Puerto Ordaz and on that side we will not be all alone. Everything will also depend on the flow of money and time available for them and me. Which brings me to answer the next question.
I think we are all very clear that the financial situation is complex in many ways with respect to this year 2023. That has affected my household. We are a young couple and entrepreneurship is not easy in a young marriage but we have always joined forces to have a monetary fund. Solving financially is paramount in a couple's relationship. And between household expenses, pets, medical appointments and some emergencies, scraping together has always been our goal. With the goal of getting a home of our own and some personal projects to accomplish. But I know that this year 2023 the balance will be affected by the move.
Por ello, a pesar de que sé que haremos con respecto a la mudanza, la adaptación y el trabajo, aún tengo que ver cómo podría tomar un espacio para poder viajar y visitar a mi familia y amigos. También es bueno saber que mi pareja tiene familia en Puerto Ordaz y por ese lado no estaremos del todo solos. Todo dependerá también del flujo de dinero y el tiempo disponible de ellos y el mío. Lo que me lleva a contestar la siguiente pregunta.
Creo que todos estamos muy claros en que la situación financiera es compleja en muchos sentidos con respecto a este año 2023. Eso ha afectado mi hogar. Somos una pareja joven y emprender no es fácil en un matrimonio joven pero siempre hemos unido fuerzas para tener un fondo monetario. Solventar financieramente es primordial en la relación de pareja. Y entre los gastos del hogar, las mascotas, citas médicas y algunas emergencias, reunir siempre ha sido nuestro objetivo. Con el objetivo de conseguir hogar propio y algunos proyectos personales que cumplir. Pero se que este año 2023 el saldo se verá afectado por la mudanza.
So what we are looking forward to most is to be able to get to our new home, get some things set up so we can work and get back to having that cash flow. Investing is also something that has saved us on more than one occasion so that is always feasible. We will have to be more prudent and stay on the sidelines to avoid falling into unnecessary expenses. Although emergencies cannot be avoided. The good thing is that we have never been the type to splurge on vanities.
Finally my friends I would like to say that even with all the questions that I usually keep to myself about my life (because it is very difficult for me to talk about it) I have all my hopes that teaming up, having my partner, makes me feel much more confident about the future and makes me feel that everything will get better. I also hope to be able to go back to Valencia to visit my mother and friends and of course, maybe this year they will come to visit our new one. Así que lo que más esperamos es poder llegar a nuestro nuevo hogar, conseguir instalar algunas cuestiones para poder trabajar y poder volver a tener esa fluidez monetaria. Invertir también es algo que nos ha salvado en más de una ocasión así que eso siempre es factible. Habrá que ser más prudente y mantenerse al margen para evitar caer en gastos innecesarios. Aunque las emergencias no las podemos evitar. Lo bueno es que nunca hemos sido del tipo que derrocha en vanidades.
Finalmente amigos míos quisiera especie que aún con todas las cuestiones que suelo reservarme sobre mi vida (pues me cuesta mucho hablar sobre ello) tengo todas mis esperanzas en que hacer equipo, tener a mi pareja, me hace sentir mucho más segura sobre el futuro y me hace sentir que todo mejorará. Espero también poder volver a Valencia para visitar a mi madre y amigos y cómo no, quizás este año ellos vayan a visitarnos a nuestro nuevo. Owning your own Home is a tough long termed goal and requires thorough planning and resources, made more difficult with current state of your county's economics. Sacrifices are inevitable and emergencies happen along the way too.

It must be very hard moving away from your family, but every decision we make must come with a little bit of sacrifice. It is for the greater good.
