The foundation of any long lasting relationship should be "Honesty",either romantic or friendship, it will be destroyed if it's foundation is based on lies. Honesty isn't just based on avoiding trouble ,it's the foundation of trust,The smallest lies in the relationship can actually chip away at the trust . A relationship doesn't collapse in a day... It's unravels when communication failed, respect disappears and trust is broken. Love without communication is confusion, without respect it's abuse and without trust it's torture.
Flowers,dates,promises will mean nothing if the three mentioned above is not well established because real love isn't grand gesture ..... It's the daily choice to speak,listen , honor and believe in each other. Nothing is more damaging to relationship than pretending. If you look at life of people who are desperate for relationship almost always find out they fail- because they aim to please, whereas those that weren't desperate looking for a relationship finds compatibility because they presented a truthful version of themselves up front .
The truth has some way of surfacing ,no matter how much it's buried. Honesty is a must in the beginning but it must stay present throughout every stage for the relationship for the relationship to be truly healthy and happy. If you are insecure yourself, then you have to know it's not optional but essential that resolving your own insecurities and understanding. Secrets and lie kills relationship no matter how careful you are. The peace that comes from being real is far greater than temporary comfort of a lie,honesty make sting for a moment but dishonesty can tear you up inside ,if lie give ease ,it's just for a while but will eventually undo everything. Honesty can be painful,it can be hard but it's always the best policy .
Guard communication,respect and trust with your whole heart because without them even the strongest love story falls apart...but with them, love can survive anything.
