Hoy quiero contales de mi primera Jefa, a quien le debo muchos conocimientos que me han servido de mucha ayuda a lo largo de mi vida, no solo en el desenvolvimiento laboral, sino en todos los aspectos de mi vida; La Licda. Lila Alvarez, fue esa persona que me ayudó a crecer y que fue clave en la evolución de mi vida.
Today I want to tell you about my first boss, to whom I owe a lot of knowledge that has helped me a lot throughout my life, not only in the development of my work, but in all aspects of my life; Mrs. Lila Alvarez, was that person who helped me grow and was key in the evolution of my life.
A los 20 años, comencé a trabajar en una oficina, no tenia ninguna experiencia, ya que antes habia trabajado en tiendas y en un restaurante; Al llegar allí estaba super nerviosa, ya que había escuchado que la Jefa era una mujer muy estricta, pero necesitaba el trabajo, así que puse todo mi empeño para aprender los oficios de transcripción, recepcionista, atención al público y otros mas.
When I was 20 years old, I started working in an office, I had no experience, as I had previously worked in stores and in a restaurant; When I got there I was super nervous, as I had heard that the boss was a very strict woman, but I needed the job, so I put all my efforts to learn the trades of transcription, receptionist, customer service and others.

Los rumores de que mi Jefa eran ciertos, si muy estricta, le gustaba que sus empleados fueran responsables, puntuales y que cumplieran todas sus tareas con empeño; Pero nadie me dijo que era muy buena maestra, con mucha paciencia me enseño el arte de redactar y archivar, en poco tiempo aprendí mucho de ella, tanto que pase de ser una secretaría más de la oficina a ser una de sus asistentes, 2 años después tuve que cambiar de trabajo, pero lleve conmigo toda esa experiencia que obtuve de mi Gran Jefa, a quien hoy día recuerdo con mucho cariño.
The rumors about my boss were true, she was very strict, she liked her employees to be responsible, punctual and to fulfill all their tasks with effort; But nobody told me that she was a very good teacher, with a lot of patience she taught me the art of writing and filing, in a short time I learned a lot from her, so much that I went from being a secretary to be one of her assistants, 2 years later I had to change jobs, but I took with me all the experience I got from my great boss, whom today I remember with great affection.

You are fortunate to have such a good first boss who taught you what you can apply through today :) Sometimes strict bosses tend to intimidate us but they do teach the best lessons too if we are open to learning. Thank you for sharing your story and good luck in the contest :)
