Good day, amazing people of the Hive Blockchain. Welcome back to my blog. It is another edition in the #ladiesofhive community. I am so delighted to participate in this week's prompt; I will be answering the second question.

Gone are the days when responsibility is only on the shoulder of one person. In a proper African home, it is the responsibility of the woman to take care of the home and the children. My people will always say, 'For a home to be okay, it is in the hand of the woman because nature wired it that way. Women are caretakers, while the men provide for the family. They go out every day to make sure that their homes are living comfortably and happily.'
Of late I keep asking myself who brought this ideology that it is only the duty of the woman to take care of the home, and if by mistake a man is seen assisting the wife in some house chores, such a man will be tagged as weak by his fellow man because he is helping the wife in running some errands. I am glad that such ideology is gradually changing the economy of my country. Recently, it is not a place where only one person will be earning one source of income; it can’t keep a home.
How things are structured in my home.

I so much love the way my family structure has responsibility. My father is a tradesman; likewise, my mom, my parents, hustle to take care of the family. My dad does more of the spending, while my mom assists him. My dad, knowing full well that my mom can handle some of the minor responsibilities at home, still makes sure that he provides for us and also gives my mom her monthly allowance, not minding that she has her shop.
The structure in my family was not an issue because my parents understand each other. My mom has to take up one responsibility at home. My parents structured our home in a way that finance was never a problem for them. They understand each other. My dad plays his role as the head of the family by providing for us, and my mom does the supporting.

When it comes to the responsibility, my dad understands that his wife is also a human and not a slave. I grew up watching my parents do the chores together in love and in peace. I can remember them asking my dad, 'I think it is the duty of my mom to cook.' My dad would reply back,'Then everyone can help with house responsibilities.' I love the structure of my home and the love and the care that exist in my home.
