Good day, amazing people of the Hive Blockchain. Welcome back to my blog. It is another edition in the #ladiesofhive community. I am so delighted to participate in this week's prompt: write about a time when you overcame self-doubt.
Self-doubt is common among humans. There are times I doubt myself because when I look at things around me, I keep doubting if I will be able to excel in life because self-doubt will not allow me to see the better part of myself, and it will not allow me to believe in myself. There were times even when I wanted to push hard self-doubt would take the better part of me; I saw myself withdrawing from the decision I made earlier. Self-doubt can make one worthless, and the person will feel less of themself.
Most people who are having self-doubt are having it because they don’t trust themselves. Trust is one element that will help us to stop self-doubt. Trusting yourself will help you overcome self-doubt. Believing in yourself and your ability will help you make decisions without fear. There is nothing that boosts confidence like trusting yourself.
Self-doubt made me uncertain about myself; I never had confidence in myself. I was so afraid of not succeeding in my life that I always questioned every single thing about myself. I never had peace of mind because every moment my mind was running wild.
The moment I lost my dad, I was doubting myself. I can stand my ground because he is everything I have. My dad has been the one providing for me. Even when I try to survive, I keep doubting my strength and capacity, but the moment I realise that my self-doubt is affecting me, I try my best to overcome my self-doubt. Although it is not easy, I have to work on myself.
How I was able to overcome self-doubt.
It was not easy for me to overcome my self-doubt, but I have to for my own betterment. I started practising confidence within myself; I take risks and leave my comfort zone.
Another thing that helped me overcome my self-doubt is the moment I started believing in myself. That moment I realised that I have been denying myself some opportunities because I am doubting myself, and it keeps drawing me back. Little by little, I started building my confidence. I am so grateful that I was able to work on my confidence, and it has really made me the woman I am today.
I was able to overcome fear of failure, which has always drawn me back from achieving my goals. Anytime I try to move, I always doubt myself if I will succeed. Little by little, I started fighting this fear of failure.
There is nobody who does not face self-doubt. What matters is our ability to fight our self-doubt and believe in ourselves. And if you successfully overcome that self-doubt, you will be proud of yourself.
