How do you balance your responsibilities to your family, career, and yourself?
To this question, this is how I balance my responsibilities to my family, work,, and myself.
First of all, we were taught at school how to prepare a scale of preference, know what comes first, and the first list before the other. Now I can't give my 100% to everything at the time, if not I'm going fo breakdown.
My first responsibility is to take care of myself, emotionally, medically, spiritually, financially, and mentally. I must be fit to carry out other responsibilities. If I am not sound first, it will not work out. To be excellent, I must be well fitted.
I should know the time spent with my family, either financially or emotionally, to have fun or sort out some issues. My family shouldn't consume my time. This is when healthy boundaries come in to stay.
My business, too, shouldn't drain me to the point of getting so overwhelmed that I can't continue; boundaries must be placed, too. There should be an allocated time to rest, to think well, and coordinate things in the business.
Managing your time is important, my business shouldn't consume my time and energy. There are other things that I need to dispense my energy to.
However, my relationship with God must be intact. I must acknowledge Him in all my ways, so He can direct my path. Without Him, there will be no wisdom to bring balance to the whole thing. Life with healthy boundaries and balance is from God.
Therefore, with God's wisdom, you will know your priorities and how to bring a balance to them.
