While in University, I had a roommate whose character trait is humour. You can never be in a room or a gathering with Hope and you feel bored, no, never. She has a captivating sense of humour and always navigate life challenges. Hope is friend with every one, I mean you can't come across her and you won't strive to associate with her, and one excellent part of her is that she wouldn't joke with one's disabilities or deficiency just to make fun of one. Hope know how to bring joy to other no matter what she was passing through at that moment, just to make the other party feel loved and appreciated, and no matter how tensed a situation is, Hope will bring a joyful moments out of it by her right approach for instance she can create funny memes or jokes out of the situation. She knows when and how to deliver an original jokes, quick in thinking and clever with word play.
I secretly admire her, her ability and strength to see joy and brings gladness in all situations.Living with Hope for months make me love her and sought to be like her. I tried all I could to mimik her just to develop and engage in her humorous lifestyle. I wanted this type of life style for me because I think it will;
Brings me out of my shell (as an introvert that I am).
helps strengthened my relationship with others.
boost my self confidence, resilience, and confidence.
In my own little way I attempted to emulate Hope, but came out crushed. Why did this happen? The answer to the question is not far fetched. It simply because I am struggling to be another person, while I can flourish, thrive and blossom in my niche. As introvert that I am, I came from phlegmatic cum melancholic family. Our creativity and innovation might not be on assertiveness or being outspoken but we deeply expressed ourselves and always brings Comfort to any or every raging soul encountering one problem or the other.
This experience has taught me that I am unique in my own way, I might not sociable person, or a man of party, I might not know how to throw jokes to melt a raging heart, but my act of service will mend a broken heart.

Sense of humour is a trait that makes people desirable for others. However, some people go nasty on the name of being humorous. They ridicule others claiming it a joke. It's not an admirable trait at all.
On the other hand, people whose humour is to lighten the moods and bringing joy deserve to be applauded.
I think it is a built-in ability and we cannot adopt it by practice. So it is good to be satisfied in our own skin.
