I think you covered the subject beautifully. I would add that people in general are starting to treat human interaction as a rude distraction to their stress-free and loving screen. They are more easily annoyed by little problems or glitches in any real interaction. You can see them being called by their phone, they have to get back to it. We are heading toward a world of NPCs.
