Ladies of Hive community contest #261

1️⃣ You were offered a job by an overseas firm in a country you've always wanted to visit. However, you cannot take your immediate family (spouse and kids) with you until two years later. Would you grab the opportunity? Share your thoughts, please.

2️⃣ Do you have a negative thought about yourself? What is it, and are you doing something to reframe that and adopt a more positive outlook?

3️⃣ Gratitude or gratefulness helps boost our overall well-being. Do you practice a "grateful living" approach? If you do, what are you most thankful for today?

1️⃣ Getting a job offer from an overseas company feels like a doorway opening into the kind of life I have always pictured for myself.

The thought of living in a country I’ve dreamed of exploring is exciting. Since I’m not married yet and I don’t have kids, it makes the whole situation a lot easier. My immediate family would actually be more than happy to see me take such a bold step. They have always been big supporters of my growth, and they believe a chance like this does not come twice. Two years might sound like a long time, but in reality it is just a short period that can shape the rest of my future.

I feel like grabbing this opportunity would not just be for me but also for them because success overseas can bring more possibilities for all of us. I would go with the mindset that I am representing the family and working hard so that when I return, I return with achievements that will make them proud. Distance doesn’t break family ties, especially when everyone knows that the sacrifice is leading somewhere better. I would definitely go, prepare myself mentally, and face the adventure with hope and determination.

2️⃣ Sometimes I battle with a fear that tries to reduce my confidence. It is not exactly a negative thought but a quiet voice that keeps asking if I will truly be able to support my family the way I want to.

I keep thinking of life after graduation, wondering if I will get a good job immediately or if I would struggle before finding my balance. I am the type of person who wants to make sure the people I love never lack anything, so the fear of failing them appears once in a while. But even with that fear, I try to reframe the way I see things.

Instead of thinking I might fall, I try to remind myself that I have already come far. Gaining admission and pushing through school means I am already overcoming challenges. I focus on developing myself academically and mentally so I will have something strong to offer the world when I’m done. I always tell myself that I was not created to be defeated by life.

I pray, I learn, and I stay motivated by imagining my future self helping my family live a better life. That fear only pushes me to work harder and trust the process more.

                💫💫💫💫💫💫💫

3️⃣ Gratitude is part of who I am. I don’t wait for something huge before I say “thank you.” Even the smallest effort someone makes for me is enough to make me smile and appreciate them.

I believe being grateful opens more doors because it puts the heart in a good position to receive joy. When I wake up, one of the first things on my mind is how blessed I am to be alive and healthy. Today, I am especially thankful for sound health because without good health, nothing else makes sense.

I’m also grateful for the successful job I delivered today, because completing a task and seeing a positive result gives me a special feeling that my efforts were worth it.

Another thing I am thankful for is having a great partner who supports me emotionally and encourages me to keep striving. Life becomes more colorful when you have someone who believes in you. Practicing gratitude makes me see that no matter what challenges show up, there are still many reasons to smile. It reminds me that progress is happening little by little every day.

Gratitude gives me peace of mind, helps me stay grounded, and keeps my heart open for more blessings.

When you are single, it is easier to make a decision, especially if you have a family that supports you and wants you to experience things.

It seems you are a bit anxious about what comes ahead after your graduation :) But it's good you are reminding yourself not to worry. I believe you will do great.🩷

Family ties certainly aren't broken by distance, especially if the sacrifice is for a better future. Looking at all you've accomplished changes the mindset that you might fail, and yes, gratitude brings peace of mind. Have a lovely night,
