LOH#228: STRUCTURED ROUTINE OR SPONTANEOUS APPROACH TO LIFE?

in Ladies of Hive7 months ago

Having a balance approach of life even when life isn't balanced has great benefits.

And so I believe in having a structure routine and spontaneity, both have their own benefits and life requires them both.

My outfit for this day was planned, makeup and the event where planned. But the fun I had wasn't planed.

I feel more organized and productive when I have my days planned out it gives me a sense of direction. Having a structured routine helps me set goals, manage my time and stay disciplined.
Having a routine helps prevent me from being stressed out, there's this comfort and relief I get when I know what to expect from myself each day.

However, as much as I appreciate structured routine, I also understand that life also has it's own plans, its so unpredictable. Things don't always go as expected.

That's where the switch comes in " spontaneity" comes in. Some of my best moments in life happens outside my routines. Being too rigid can be exhausting and frustrating, expecially when things doesn't go as planned. That's why the holy books say's expectations prospond makes the heart sick.

So instead of fighting my self over what I can't control, I try to adapt and live each day at a time, and leave tomorrow for tomorrow.

For example, last week I planned to go to the market to get some goods for my business and get some outfits for myself, but I couldn't do all of that because my son fell ill that same day and we spent the money on hospital bills. So I like to plan my work schedule, but I also leave room for flexibility.
If something unexpected occurs or my plans change, I try to roll with the flow rather than resist. (It hurts most times)
It took me time to understand that most of my unplanned moments where actually my best moments, a call from my friend to meet her up somewhere or even an unbooked client turns out to be awesome. I allow myself to break free from my routines.

I believe having a balance is key, and plan where it's necessary. But spontaneity makes life interesting and full of possibilities, I am open to the plan life has to offer.stability and adventure is the best way to enjoy the world.

Sort:

Yeah spontaneousity keeps one excited and thrilled. But a routine keeps one structured.

Exactly, routine are too strict.

Planning before execution is a helpful routine you can't be taken unawares

That true

Being too rigid can be exhausting and frustrating, expecially when things doesn't go as planned.
