Ladies of hive community contest #70: forever yummy

Hello hivers!

Today I will participating in a contest organized by @ladiesofhive.

Our bodies require nourishment to thrive and we enjoy the taste of food. Keeping that in mind, if you had to choose just one food to eat for the rest of your life, what food would that be and why?

Food is Is important to the body because it helps us live healthy, work, play and do other things (daily activities) food gives us energy. Food also helps us grow.

Choosing one particular food to eat for the rest of my life is something I can not easily decide, but due to the question asked, I can eat rice and stew that will include fried plantain.

I’m going to take you through the process of preparing my forever food.

Ingredients

  • Rice

  • Plantain

  • Fresh tomatoes

  • Fresh pepper

  • Chicken/fish

  • Salt

  • Seasoning cube

  • Curry

  • Thyme

  • Tomato paste

  • Groundnut oil

  • Crayfish

Step 1: I wash tomatoes and pepper, after washing them I blend them to be smooth.

Tomatoes contains fiber, carbs, minerals and vitamins, it help reduce the risk of heart diseases.

Step 2: I wash my raw chicken/fish, put them in a clean pot and add pepper, seasoning cubes, salt, curry and thyme to steam it for sometime before frying it.

Step 3: I put my clean pot on fire, allow it to heat a bit then pour in my groundnut oil after that I add my tomato paste. After adding the paste I allow it to fry for few minutes then I pour in my blended tomato and pepper.

After pouring it in I allow it to cook for sometime then I add my seasoning cube, salt, curry, thyme, and my fried chicken and fish. And allow it to cook for about 15minutes and my stew is ready.

Step 4: I put my uncooked rice in a clean pot and per-boil, after sometime I wash it and cook it to be soft and eatable adding a little salt.

Rice is a good source of energy, helps with skin care, reduce constipation.

After per-boiling and ready to be cooked

Step 5: peel off the back of my plantain m, wash it and slice to my desired shape after that sprinkle in a little salt and ready to fry.

Why I will choose this food is because it has different ingredients and it’s my best food for the time being. can eat this food forever because I love it and also because it’s also has some health benefits.
