Hello my dear Hivers from @ladiesofhive community. I hope you're all well and safe.

This is my second post in this lovely community.

Today I want to share with you a little event we had today in the school. Today as part of the Depart of Education's initiative to lessen malnutrition, we have a school feeding program.

Yesterday our Administrative Officer brought another set of nutri buns and cookies for our learner's snacks today. We also had milk for them to drink.

Our school head announced yesterday in the school's group chat which includes parents of the community that their children should bring each one a glass or cup. This will be used for their milks.

At around 10 am in the morning a pack of milk was sent to each classrooms. When it arrived I started putting milk powders in each student's cup. I moved around to fill all the cups they have.

I already turned on the water dispenser we have in the classroom for the water to be hot. When the indicator showed the water is already got I then started filling each cups with hot water. Then I let them mix the hot water and the water.

After that I gave each with the nutri buns. I took some photos of them as part of the documentation process for modes of verification when accomplishment reports are needed.

The children looked happy while eating and drinking the snacks they have. I also felt happy looking at them as it's not everyday they get to have snacks. Some dipped it in the milk, some just want to eat it as it is. Different ways of eating but all were happy and satisfied.

During times likes this they really looked happy and grateful. Because most of the days in school they don't have a snacks during recess time. Sometimes they just go to the back of the school and get some guava or lemoslnsito for their snacks.

Also healthy but not really usual for a kind of snack.

That's all for today. Thanks for reading this far. Til my next post!

Wow that's a great move teach!
You're lucky to have served this beautiful children. Keep going teach! These children really need a teacher like you!take care of yourself too..

It's great and gratifying to see a working nutritional program setup and run by people most close to the need.
In Canada many of the children are going hungry because inflation and the high cost of living has left more and more young families in poverty and in more cases homelessness. My government should learn from you. The Canadian government spent many millions$ and has yet to serve one meal to a school child. It boggles my mind at the incompetence of my officials.

Is that so? I didn't know a progressive country like Canada is also having a portion of this kind of unfortunate stories. I guess it's up to our government leaders really to address this timely concerns. I mean it's not just this time, it's been an issue since time immemorial if I'm not mistaken. The only hope we have is to have leaders who can have the time to look at this marginalized people and fit the shoes of these people so they can may be have that empathy that eventually hopefully comes to an action to address this poverty. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Keep safe!
