I am a big fan of movies and whenever I come across a movie with Aamir Khan Productions' tag I watch it in one go because this production house has had a habit of productions gems like Lagaan: Once upon a time in India, Taare Zameen Par, Delhi Belly and Secret Superstar.

The home of amazing cinematic pieces has delivered another timeless magic "Laapataa Ladies" (Lost Ladies.)
Laapataa Ladies is a captivating story of two young newly married women: Jaya and Phool who are travelling to their in laws in the same train. They both get lost as Phool's Husband Deepak mistakens Jaya for his wife and a series of hilarious moments and revelations start taking place that make the movie really meaningful and impressive.
The plot is set in the rural India of 2001 when in villages girls are still considered to look after the household only and get married to have kids. It is a satire on patriarchal society specially on dowry rituals and marriage without the girl's consent with focus on the idea that women must be allowed to choose their lifestyle and they should be independent enough to make life their life decisions.
When Jaya and Phool are lost into different places they experience self discovery as Phool starts working at a dhaba of Manju Bai and Jaya hides some secrets from everyone that makes everyone doubt her. while Deepak still looks for Phool and tries to send Jaya to her home and his love and loyalty for Phool is worth watching that portrays a man's true love.
The movie has a really inspirational ending with a focus on women's right and the music in the movie guarantees emotional release. It is a must watch for everyone who really understands the need of independence of a woman in the society.
Amir Kahn's productions are all awesome. The movies always adress somw social issue and it does with a touch of humour and. Taaray Zameen pr is my most favorite.
