There are some funny questions people ask me that I can't help but laugh at. A few days ago someone randomly said "IB what do you need money for, do you have any responsibilities?" I laughed really hard that day. A few years ago, I would have picked offense at the question, but right now, I'm thinking about it, and it's cracking me up.
I find it amusing when people look at me and conclude that I do not have responsibilities or challenges of my own. What do you mean by “What do I need money for? Seriously??
I don't get the rationale behind people assuming my life is rosy and that I don’t face challenges.
Do I look like a trust fund baby or the 'I'm gonna call my Dad' kinda girl?😄 So how and why do people always conclude I do not need money for anything?
In my previous place of work, at the end of each year, we are each given a bag of rice, vegetable oil, and a chicken.
People who had in abundance could either choose to sell theirs or give it to others. Every year, my colleagues persuades me to sell my bag of rice, as to them I do not need it nor do I have "anybody" to share the rice with. In the midst of all the persuasions I kept wondering where these people got the idea that I didn't need a full bag of rice that costs a lot. How?😂
It gets funnier as some of them would go ahead and refer more people to me to buy my rice, and each resounding NO I gave them the more they begged.
Years ago, I got offended when people asked me what I needed money for and when they assumed I didn't have any responsibilities. It felt like they were belittling my efforts to make money, and I hated that. It took a while to understand why they felt that way.
I realized I rarely talk about my problems with people, Heck, it takes talking to my siblings or close friends to realize I even have problems.
Since I rarely share my problems with people they assume I have nothing bothering me. I discovered I spent time listening to my friends' problems, sympathizing with them, and cheering them on, suddenly my problems do not matter as I'd be damned to talk about my own problems when they are crashing out.
Morseso, whenever I voice out the little problems going on in my life, they do not make sense to people, they automatically shake their heads and are sorry for my lack of real problems😂
Ever since I realized this I don't get angry at people who think I do not need money or do not have responsibilities because I don't blame them, if the tables were turned, I’ll think the same way too.
But yeah, I do have problems, big problems, I have responsibilities, and ohh yes! I need more money than you can ever think of, so, if you have a legit business, plug me on and don't ever think I don't need the extra cash
I literally smiled while making this post. I'd love to know if anyone relates to this or I’m the only weird one.

People can be hilarious 🤣, I hear this as well when I was single, things like "why are you hustling for money after all you are a woman, " I was like Hello, are you for real?

Hahaha a funny one indeed, sometimes how you place yourself among others raised different questions in their minds yeah and they conclude you have all it takes to solve your problems or you have people who supply all your needs and so you are rich and that is why you have to give them your share or even sell it two times lower than what it is sold in the market 🤣

Some days are like this, they are the hardest for you because some people think that not helping them is considered a wrong thing, but I think there may be a reason for that too. The effort should be to help everyone. No one laughs at anyone, but some people misunderstand it.
