I agree with you. Everyone has her/his own values, beliefs, and preferences and there is no right or wrong answer to the question, nor does anyone have the right to judge another :)

If ever I were to contemplate a transformation it would stem from introspection and not from insecurities or distorted self perceptions.

I think this approach is good. Not being pressured into doing it because of societal "standards" or so.
