La semana pasada, después de mucho tiempo que no bajaba a Caracas ni a la sede de mi trabajo principal, nos llamaron a una reunión especial solo para las mujeres de la Orquesta Sinfónica Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho. Sin tener ningún otro tipo de información o alguna expectativa y solo con el aviso de que era una reunión obligatoria, hice mis planes para al fin salir de mi casa. Jamás me imaginé que pasaría una mañana tan increíble.

Last week, after a long time that I had not been coming down to Caracas or to the location of my main job, we were called to a special meeting just for the women of the Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho Symphony Orchestra. Without having any other information or any expectations and only with the notice that it was a mandatory meeting, I made my plans to finally leave my house. I never imagined I would have such an incredible morning.
Mujer 5 estrellas es un movimiento de emprendimiento de mujeres para impulsar a otras. Tiene representantes de todo tipo de especialidades que con mucho trabajo y dedicación se han organizado para hacer valer a la mujer en cualquier ámbito o profesión desde difusión, salud psicológica, ayuda económica y más. Nació de la necesidad de demostrar que una mujer sola en Venezuela puede hacerse valer por sí misma. Marty aunque con muchas oportunidades para salir decidió quedarse con la esperanza de que hay futuro en el país y que no hay que rendirse.
Mujer 5 Estrellas is a movement of women's entrepreneurship to encourage others. It has representatives of all kinds of specialties that with hard work and dedication have organized themselves to empower women in any field or profession from broadcasting, psychological health, financial aid and more. It was born out of the need to demonstrate that a woman alone in Venezuela can stand up for herself. Marty although she had many opportunities to leave, she decided to stay with the hope that there is a future in the country and that there is no need to give up.
Nos acompañaron 5 mujeres que pertenecen a este movimiento: Marty González, la fundadora del movimiento Mujer 5 Estrellas; Walkiria Verde y Katherine
Copete de Ajídulce Producciones; la directora de nuestro Orquesta, una de las embajadoras de la especialidad de música, Elisa Vegas; y para el delicioso refrigerio estuvo Meche de Repostería Meche (sus dulces de verdad una maravilla). Todas estas mujeres nos dieron a conocer un poco sobre ellas, cómo llegaron a ser unas emprendedoras exitosas y todas tenían en común que dejaron su trabajo “estable” para convertirse en su propio jefe, siendo desde trabajadoras de la banca e ingenieros, explotando sus talentos y pasiones para hacer lo que querían hacer.
We were joined by 5 women who belong to this movement: Marty González, the founder of the movement Mujer 5 Estrellas; Walkiria Verde and Katherine Copete of Ajídulce Producciones; the director of our Orchestra, one of the ambassadors of the music specialty, Elisa Vegas; and for delicious refreshments there was Meche from Repostería Meche (her sweets are really wonderful). All these women told us a little about themselves, how they became successful entrepreneurs and they all had in common that they left their "stable" job to become their own boss, being from bank workers to engineers, exploiting their talents and passions to do what they wanted to do.
Me encantó la actitud de estas mujeres, la energía con la que hablaron con nosotras, sentí su sinceridad y respeto por nuestra profesión. También nos manifestaron su apoyo para seguir y decir en voz alta nuestros sueños, emprendimientos, fortalezas y debilidades. En un momento del encuentro todas pudimos levantarnos y decir quiénes éramos, lo que queríamos hacer y mencionar nuestros talentos. Yo, como siempre cuando hablo en público sobre mí, lloré y creo que fue por el conglomerado de emociones que ya había en la habitación.
I loved the attitude of these women, the energy with which they talked to us, I felt their sincerity and respect for our profession. They also expressed their support for us to continue and to say out loud our dreams, ventures, strengths and weaknesses. At one point in the meeting we were all able to stand up and say who we were, what we wanted to do and mention our talents. I, as always when I speak in public about myself, cried and I think it was because of the conglomerate of emotions that were already in the room.
Para finalizar nos entregaron una gorra y una camisa con el el logo y eslogan de Mujer 5 estrella, nos tomamos unas fotos y con la promesa de que haremos grandes cosas juntas (La orquesta y el movimiento) tomamos nuestro sabroso refrigerio. Espero todos los eventos e ideas con Mujeres 5 estrellas se den.
At the end we were given a cap and a shirt with the logo and slogan of Mujer 5 estrella, we took some pictures and with the promise that we will do great things together (the orchestra and the movement) we had our tasty snack. I look forward to all the events and ideas with 5 Star Women taking place.

Durante la mañana hubo varias frases, consejos y cosas que quedaron grabados en mi, que quiero compartir con ustedes esperando que puedan sacar el tiempo de que saquen sus propias conclusiones de cada una:
During the morning there were several phrases, tips and things that stuck with me, that I want to share with you hoping that you can take the time to draw your own conclusions from each one:
1.- Creete y proyéctate como una mujer 5 estrellas. Con sello de calidad y eficiencia al máximo.
2.- Está bien ser vulnerable.
3.- La venezolana es una guerrera que se adapta a todas las situaciones. Y así cualquier mujer en cualquier parte del mundo.
4.- No es suerte, se trata de trabajar duro, con compromiso y dedicación. Mientras más trabajo más suerte tendrás.
5.- Todos tenemos un talento que determina lo que hacemos. La motivación te ayuda a decidir lo que realmente quieres hacer pero lo que realmente importa es la actitud de cómo buscamos las cosas.
6.- Si lo crees lo creas. Con mucho amor por lo que haces.
7.- Toma tus debilidades para hacerlas fortalezas y tus talentos fortalecerlos aún más.

1.- Believe in yourself and project yourself as a 5 star woman. With a seal of quality and efficiency to the maximum.
2.- It is okay to be vulnerable.

4.- It's not luck, it's about hard work, commitment and dedication. The harder you work, the luckier you will be.
5.- We all have a talent that determines what we do. Motivation helps you decide what you really want to do but what really matters is the attitude of how we pursue things.
6.- If you believe it, you create it. With a lot of love for what you do.
7.- Take your weaknesses to make them strengths and your talents to strengthen them even more.
