I've always known as a child myself that structure, peace, happiness and genuine love in a family goes a long way to secure well being in body and mind.
I was so happy to read that your aunt took possession of you and provided you with several years of peace and structure.
There is a saying that God sends people into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. You had all three in your life at different times for different reasons. From each, you learned about yourself and life. You learned what you did want and what you didn't.
The Healer was sent to heal your inner being from the turmoil of your past. I was happy to hear you finally embraced it.
The person you are now is a result of your youth and the experiences encountered. Resilient is what you are!

Yes, as you very rightly say people come into our lives for a reason and for a season including the parents that we choose to fulfill our karma. It is all for our spiritual growth and moving ahead with the lessons is the best advice that I give to people. There is nothing that cannot heal if you are ready to heal, else we can stay with the wounds and scars all our lives and making our future as miserable as our past.
