Kisapáti is only 6 km from Tapolca. Our group started from the parking lot next to the cemetery. On the way to St. George's Hill we saw only small cottages and vineyards. Looking back, the view was beautiful.
There are also some abandoned cottages, any of which I could accept. The trees are already greening everywhere, but the vines are still "sleeping". I collected some hop shoots along the trails and ate them raw. Almost no one knows how delicious vegetable is. Much better known in Transylvania. No doubt, this region is one of the most beautiful and livable in Hungary, but unfortunately it was also discovered by some very wealthy families and investors, and prices started to rise sharply. Thus, it became impossible for the common man to buy even a tiny ruined house. Fortunately, the original thatched-roofed houses have survived here, but the plots on the shores of Lake Balaton have already been bought up and demolished, replacing them with luxury residential parks.
Another disturbing factor is the crowd of tourists. Narrow paths can barely fit, you have to step aside against the flood.
Vineyard, with St. George Mountain in the background.
Rumbling sticks
Abandoned cottage
Overgrown with bush
A beautifullly renovated house
Pigmy sheep in the vineyard - they are the best lawn mowers!
The basalt organs of St. George's Hill can already be seen
Tourist house - unfortunately closed
The mountain is named after St. George, the dragon killer
looks beautiful!

It's a pity! So much is abandoned!
I could accept any of the abandoned cottages.
What a waste.
