I like the ladies of HIVE community. This isn't just a 'Ow-you go girl and all men suck' kind of community, but it just has the idea of the that amount of women in crypto space isn't that big, and that we deserve some support from each other.

Windmills
Anybody who thinks about Holland thinks about windmills. I would say this is actually the most iconic thing which people would refer to. Windmills were originally used to grind grain to make flower for bread, by using wind energy. The wind would move the arms of the mill, which would move the heavy rock.
Pretty genious is you ask me. The funny thing is now, hardly any windmills are actually in use anymore in that function. A lot of windmill could still be functional,but aren't. Often they are put on the list as monuments, which makes the protected by the state. Outsides can not be changed but insides can. I know some people who acutally made trendy houses inside of mill. How cool is that?
Drugs

From the traditional windmills we head straight into the unconventional topic drugs. I guess Holland is known internationally for their drugs, because everytime I mention abroad that I am from here, everbody naturally assumes that I smoke weed because it is legal here.
The contrary is true actually. I guess when something is legal, it is a lot less interesting because you can just get it in the store.
Now weed is considered legal here because it is soft drugs. Harddrugs like XTC or cocaine is forbidden but there are options legally to get you drugs tested to see if the quality is good. Pretty weird right? It is forbidden, but on the other hand there are tests to see that you aren't buying garbage.
Also there is an increasing amount of production of these synthetic drugs going on here in on the countryside also used for export. I guess you notice this the most because of the amount of bodies found under 'strange conditions'. That is the sucky thing, when it is about those huge amounts of money, stuff happens.
Venus
Well if this is really an icon I dont really know but honestly, I dont think anyone knows that the artists from this song 'Shocking Blue' are from Holland. We all sing along with this song from the 70s, especially at the end of the year when all golden oldies come back up again.
Shocking Blue was the first Dutch band to have a number 1 spot in the billboard top 100, and that was a major breakthough ofcourse.
Scary stuff...this song is from 1970 and these guys kept going on stage until 2006. That's a lot of Venus passing by dudes.....
