Ha! Not that kind of adult, though all my other stories are. This one has a slow-burn romance. It was like a challenge to make myself keep the two forbidden lovers apart until the end of the book, and then they get barely a kiss. They'll have to wait until book 2 for more.
Why does it make me cry? Because it's an emotional story with some dark, ancestral grief over horrors in the past that the main character remembers and has to deal with again in this lifetime. It's a beautiful story, though. I'm looking forward to writing book 2 whenever I finish up my current WIPs. Thank you for always encouraging my creative side! 💖
