I've learned a lot as a parent as well, so I would listen to the reasons my young ones would got to a party and I would ask questions as what the party is for, what is the plan of the party, will their parents be supervising the party, and what the time will it be finished. And if everything checks out,I will tell them to have fun.
But also I will tell them, If you feel uncomfortable when someone asks you to try a drug, drink something that makes you lose control, or smoke anything, to call me anytime and I will pick you up, no questions asked.
I want my children to know I am concerned but also a learning experience for them as well without being too strict. When they demonstrate that responsibility I can say they earned my trust.
Thanks for sharing your experience @labeba1969
That would be the best attitude of a parent to their children because we all have the right to burn stages and learn how to react to certain situations, thanks for visiting my blog.
