I've asked for advice from friends that own their homes before I bought mine. It's not as simple as we think. First, it is wise to buy only what is in accordance to what we need, there is no point in buying a big, new and fancy house to impress others which is the wrong reason to buy a home. I know friends that over extended themselves and got into financial trouble.
