I can't emphasize enough about keeping a sizable Emergency savings and how that prevented me from falling too deep into debt and giving me peace of mind. Putting some capital into Hive/HDB is exactly what I did back in the summer of 2021 giving me a big boost in HP.

Emergency funds are what you can leverage whenever one is in dire need of fund. Equipment can get faulty at any time without giving prior notice.
