Mandatory Ageing, maturity by choice

I'm in my early 20s and kinda new to this whole adulting thing matter of fact I'm not fully independent yet. But already I've encountered Adults who have displayed jaw-dropping childishness. Don't get me wrong, I can be childish too, but only around people I'm completely comfortable with. We're all human, after all, with emotions and moments of vulnerability.

Still these experiences have really shifted how I see age and maturity.

Aging is mandatory unless you have got some secret anti-aging potion or a shot at immortality 😂, if you do kindly hit me up lol. But maturing? That's totally optional! Well, to some extent. I do believe life experiences and certain circumstances can push or force us to grow up faster in other words mature.
Let me digress a bit. In today's world, especially among my fellow GenZs, if you act mature, you often labelled "boring" or "out of touch". But that's a total misunderstanding of what maturity really means.

To me, maturity is about staying true to yourself while treating others with respect. It's about making fair and thoughtful decisions, even when no one is watching. You don't need to be 69 years old to be mature. You just have to choose it and let your experiences shape you along the way.
