Arkemis the Bear is considered one of the strongest ones that's released in the set. Not only he has strong stats but also reliable abilities. This can be furthermore multiplied by a certain rule of combat that when is available, you can abuse his Protect ability.
Under normal conditions, monsters with support abilities or abilities that affects other monsters such as Protect or Tank Heal, have lower health as well as these are powerful abilities. Having low health, they can be a source of target for a certain ability that I will talk later, including the one in the said rule of combat.

A blind summoner whose powers either came from being stupid or her genius-level bloodline. Some say that her powers came from staring at the sun which is the reason for her blindness but no one really knows if it's the truth.

Arkemis the Bear
Arkemis is more commonly known in Splinterlands as "The Bear." The Bear is the incarnation of balance. After a crops wither and dies, famine follows. When something unexpected happens, more strife follows. When price of goods and services collapses, and jobs are lost, many people find themselves on the streets.
After everything happened, the Bear follows.

I feel like Camila Sungazer is underpriced for how strong she is. You can get a level one for $16.69. While the level 2 one is expensive at $44.50, I think it's still worth it since you can use it from Novice league to low Gold.
If you use it in Gold league, while you cannot use the max level monsters in Gold, you can still use the minimum levels for Gold so you won't be penalized when winning.

You can rent a level 1 for 0.83 DEC per day. I got mine for 16 DEC which is a level 2. While the difference between level 1 and 2 is immense, that because you can also use Camila Sungazer at low Gold. It's still cheaper than a lot of summoners which costs you around 20 to 40 DEC per day.

Being a common card, Arkemis the Bear is somewhat expensive but it's also because of how strong it is. I found a level 4 for $6.60 which is cheap enough if you're fighting in Silver.
A level 1 is good enough if you don't mind the reduced rewards in leagues higher than Bronze.

You can rent a level 4 for 0.22 DEC per day which is really cheap. The only problem is for some reason, the price changes a lot and renting bots actually cancel and reprice Arkemis the Bear A LOT.
Unless Splinterlands devs do something about the rental cancellation, you might need to check EVERY DAY if your rented Arkemis the Bear is cancelled.

Camila Sungazer is a legendary summoner. Having a playable level 2 allows you to play max level of monsters at Silver league and below.
-1 melee damage. All opponent's melee damage is decreased by 1 for this battle. It has a minimum of 1 and enemies with already 1 melee damage are unaffected.

Arkemis's stats are decent only by my standards. The reason why I said it's decent and not high is because of the 12 mana cost barrier that you need to use Arkemis. 12 mana is equivalent to three decent 4 mana costs so unless he's equivalent to that much, I'll never think of him as something strong.
Protect. Monster with Protect ability gives 2 armor to all of your monsters as long as this monster is alive.
Halving. When a monster with Halving attacks and hits, the target halves his damage for the rest of the game unless that target dies and resurrected or got cleansed.

60 Mana Cap. Total mana cost of all monsters must not exceed 60 mana.
Broken Arrows Rules of Combat. Prohibits the use of any monster with range damage type during this battle.
Equal Opportunity Rules of Combat. Every monster on the board gets Opportunity ability for this battle.
Monsters with Opportunity ability changes its target to the lowest opponent's monster. This ability is disabled or overlapped by some certain targetting abilities and/or if the monster is on 1st position.
All elements unlocked except for Water, Earth and Death Elements. Summoners and Monsters from this element cannot be used during this battle.

Yes. However, it's not that I like the combo but I like them individually. Unlike my Camila Sungazer x Chain Golem, there's really no "combo" per se. I normally use Camila Sungazer because of her lower mana cost and a generic -1 melee damage ability. Arkemis, while I don't use him much due to his high mana cost, is strong in certain rules of combat. It's really good to keep him on your back pocket when high mana fights with specific rules of combat comes around.

𝔓𝔥𝔬𝔱𝔬 𝔣𝔯𝔬𝔪 𝔪𝔶 𝔖𝔭𝔩𝔦𝔫𝔱𝔢𝔯𝔩𝔞𝔫𝔡𝔰 𝔞𝔠𝔠𝔬𝔲𝔫𝔱.
Summoner: Camila Sungazer: Has -1 melee damage to all opponents during the battle.
- Venari Heatsmith: A low cost 3 mana with Void armor that allows his armor to block any magical damage.
- Chain Golem: Has both Shield and Void abilities essentially halving all damage types. Probably my most favorite monster in Splinterlands for his reliability. He's also a neutral monster meaning as long as there's no rule of combat that prohibits him, you can use Chain Golem with any elements.
- Djinn Chwala: Has Thorns ability and serves as my backup tank in case Chain Golem dies.
- Arkemis the Bear: Has Protect ability increasing everyone's armor by 2. Also has Halving ability to halve all the damage by his target. Lastly, and probably most important, he has the highest health meaning since everyone will have Opportunity ability to target the least health monsters first, then the highest health will be attacked last.
- Carnage Titan: Has Reach ability but I placed him at the back to alter the attack target because of Equal Opportunity rule of combat. Has double strike which allows him to attack twice in one round.
- Chaos Dragon: Even though there's Equal Opportunity rule of combat giving him Opportunity ability, this is bypassed by his Scattershot ability attacking random enemies. Also has Blast ability that inflicts damage on monsters around the target. Lastly, a Flying ability that increases evasion against monster without Flying ability. Mostly, defensive for Sneak monsters such as Tenyii Striker.
ᗪIᗪ YOᑌᖇ ᔕTᖇᗩTEGY ᗯOᖇKEᗪ?
While you can use Arkemis the Bear as a main tank, he shines more on rules of combat that allows him to not be the front line. In this battle, with Equal Opportunity rule, it forces monster to attack the lowest health monsters first. That's why I added a lot of lower health monster than Arkemis the Bear so that he wouldn't be the main target of attack.
Originally, I planned to use a Taunt monster/combo to counter Equal Opportunity rule of combat. However, Equal Opportunity is also a rule that do not allow the use of range monsters. This prohibits me of using Venari Crystalsmith. That's why I had the idea of doing this lineup that actually went better than I expected.
ᗯᕼᗩT ᗯIᒪᒪ YOᑌ TᖇY ᗪIᖴᖴEᖇEᑎTᒪY ᑎE᙭T TIᗰE?
Surprisingly, none. I made this lineup with consciousness that every monster will have the Opportunity ability. I purposely added high health monsters but a bit lower health than Arkemis. That way, the opponent would target Arkemis last which would abuse his Protect ability to the fullest.
