RE: Alberta is fighting back (and photos of murals around our city)

in Ladies of Hive3 years ago (edited)

no, it's supposed to be everywhere, just nobody is following it city or small town. Businesses are opening anyway until the cops and AHS shuts them down. That's what the post was about...defiance everywhere. We can still order take out and do curbside pick-up and go to big box stores and essential services but that's about it...since friday so it's kinda new. Maybe it's more noticeable in cities since we have to line up outside to go do groceries and stuff where small towns have less people.

Sort:

Good news to hear that people are open working and being productive members of society. G-o-v cannot hold all the doors closed. Do you use Hive SBI?

Well, it's the third time, we spent all of december and january on lockdown, they barely opened anything up afterwards. The people had enough. We still have bills to pay, they don't go away because they closed everything up. Many small businesses, restaurants and stuff are having to close down permanently. There are already some that are gone in my neighborhood and others in trouble financially.

I'm sure I have a handful that I won in contest on the old platform that carried over but not beyond that. Why?

Third time is the charm. I assume you support local shops and want to see the country open and functioning.
I sent one Hive SBI to you to get enrolled into the process wanted to see if it works. Plus you make good content and are a fellow Canadian.

Awe thanks, that is very sweet of you! It probably worked, they are pretty on the ball.

I do my best to support local shops across Alberta. I haven't worked much the last year so I'm still pretty limited but I get around in small communities too. Even if I get something online, it's still thru an Alberta shop, I was always like that tho even before the pandemic. Local tourism in the Rockies helps too (when we are not on lockdown although if I know someone near-by where I can stay, I'll go despite the lockdowns..oops, you didn't hear that...haha), they have been slothered over the last year. If you stick to outdoor activities like hiking , I don't see the harm. THEY CAN"T CLOSE THE OUTSIDE. I'm all about loopholes!

Nice and i glad you were not adding to the crazy before al the craze happened. The loops holes are defiantly their and open to be used. They cannot stop the fire. It was always burring.....

Yup, they don't call us rednecks for nothing...lol

Actually, as a contract worker in the oil and energy I meet many many people as I always move around and so does everyone else, there are a lot of outside hobbies like farming and bee keepers, stuff like that I come across all kinds of stuff and it supports a buddy and his family directly. It's often cheaper to buy direct and avoid the store and better quality. We are pretty grass root in nature here, even in the city.

Nice. Moving and traveling to many places you get to know the area for what is produced. Much better quality when buying form the people who make it at their site and sell to those who are willing to support local community. No GmO high fructose corns syrup in those yummy bee hives. I was at a farm today sourcing a few food things. The food from the farmer is much better tasting then most store junk imports.
