Hoy me encuentro motivada a participar en el Ladies of Hive Community Contest #19 debido a que el tema de esta semana llamó mucho mi atención ya que se trata de hablar sobre algunos iconos de mi país, los cuales son muchísimos y será un poco difícil elegir de cuales hablar pero que sin duda me divertiré mucho explorando y hablando sobre ellos en este post, acompáñame y conocelos conmigo.

Today I am motivated to participate in the Ladies of Hive Community Contest # 19 because This week's topic caught my attention since it is about talking about some icons of my country, which are many and it will be a bit difficult to choose which ones to talk about but without a doubt I will have a lot of fun exploring and talking about them in this post , join me and meet them with me.
Venezuela es un país lleno de maravillas naturales a lo largo de su territorio, hermosos paisajes comprendidos entre desiertos, sabanas, selvas, montañas y costas además de una gran variedad de parques nacionales que forman parte de turismo a nivel nacional. No solo podemos encontrar maravillas naturales en este país sino también una extensa variedad de comida típica que representan la cultura del país. A continuación les compartiré 3 iconos representativos de Venezuela que sin duda demuestran la belleza y cultura de este país.
Venezuela is a country full of natural wonders throughout its territory, beautiful landscapes between deserts, savannas, jungles, mountains and coasts as well as a great variety of national parks that are part of tourism at the national level. We can not only find natural wonders in this country but also an extensive variety of typical food that represents the culture of the country. Next I will share 3 representative icons of Venezuela that undoubtedly demonstrate the beauty and culture of this country.

➤1. El Salto Ángel.
En relación a las maravillas naturales de Venezuela, el Salto Ángel es un su máxima expresión un icono de este país y sus bellezas y no solo es símbolo natural venezolano sino que también es reconocido a nivel mundial por ser la cascada de agua más alta del mundo. Tiene una altura de 979 metros de los cuales 807 metros son de caída ininterrumpida, se ubica en el Parque Nacional Canaima, en el estado Bolívar. Es conocida como una de las mayores atracciones turísticas de Venezuela, sin embargo, hacer un viaje hasta las cataratas suele ser complicado, debido a que esa zona se encuentra cubierta por una densa selva que dificultan el camino volviéndose incluso peligroso navegar por el área.
A pesar de encontrarse en mi propio país no he tenido la oportunidad de conocer este maravilloso lugar, no obstante es uno de mis sueños mas grandes poder conocerlo así como también otros hermosos lugares de mi país como parques nacionales, playas y demás destinos turísticos.
➤ 1. Angel Falls.
In relation to the natural wonders of Venezuela, the Angel Falls is its maximum expression, an icon of this country and its beauties and is not only a Venezuelan natural symbol but is also recognized worldwide for being the highest waterfall in the world . It has a height of 979 meters of which 807 meters are of uninterrupted fall, it is located in the Canaima National Park, in the Bolívar state. It is known as one of the major tourist attractions in Venezuela, however, making a trip to the falls is usually complicated, because that area is covered by dense jungle that makes the road difficult, becoming even dangerous to navigate the area.
Despite being in my own country, I have not had the opportunity to know this wonderful place, however it is one of my biggest dreams to be able to know it as well as other beautiful places in my country such as national parks, beaches and other tourist destinations.
➤2. Parque Nacional El Ávila (Waraira Repano)
Es uno de los principales atractivos naturales del país, con una superficie estimada en 851,92 kilómetros cuadrados, se extiende desde Caracas (distrito capital), todo el norte del estado Miranda, y sur de la Guaira. Es una formación montañosa considera el pulmón vegetal de la cuidad por su gran amplitud en esta. Este parque nacional cuenta con múltiples caminos y senderos que se pueden recorrer caminando y algunos de ellos en automóvil. En el año 2011 se decreta el cambio del nombre de este espacio natural y se sustituye por "Parque Nacional Waraira Repano" que significa "Sierra Grande" en la etnia Caribe, sin embargo, aún se hace referencia al parque por su primer nombre. En este parque nacional se puede encontrar una variedad de ecosistemas como sabanas arboladas, bosques submontanos, selvas nubladas, vegetación de subparamo y mucho más.
➤ 2. El Ávila National Park (Waraira Repano)
It is one of the main natural attractions of the country, with an estimated area of 851.92 square kilometers, it extends from Caracas (capital district), the entire north of Miranda state, and south of La Guaira. It is a mountainous formation considered the plant lung of the city due to its great breadth in it. This national park has multiple paths and trails that can be covered on foot and some of them by car. In 2011, the name of this natural space was changed and it was replaced by "Parque Nacional Waraira Repano" which means "Sierra Grande" in the Caribbean ethnic group, however, the park is still referred to by its first name. In this national park you can find a variety of ecosystems such as wooded savannas, submontane forests, cloud forests, subparamo vegetation and much more.

mamímeros, aves y reptiles, donde se pueden encontrar:
◉Mamíferos:
•Murciélagos.
•Venados.
•Ardillas.
•Zorros.
•Cunaguaros.
•Puercoespín.
•Cachicamos.
◉Aves:
•Guacharacas.
•Cristofue.
•Turpial.
•Y aproximadamente 36 especies de colibríes.
◉Reptiles:
•Serpientes (cascabel, tigra mariposa y corales)
•Camaleón.
•Iguana.
In addition, it also has a great variety of fauna between
mammals, birds and reptiles, where they can be found:
◉ Mammals:
• Bats.
• Deer.
• Squirrels.
• Foxes.
• Cunaguaros.
• Porcupine.
• Cachicamos.
◉ Birds:
• Guacharacas.
• Cristofue.
• Turpial.
• And approximately 36 species of hummingbirds.
◉ Reptiles:
• Snakes (rattlesnakes, butterfly tigras and corals)
•Chameleon.
• Iguana.
➤ 3. Pabellón Criollo.
Por último, pero no menos importante, les presento el mayor plato típico de la gastronomía venezolana, el pabellón criollo. Es un plato tradicional que consta de arroz blanco, carne mechada, caraotas (frijoles negros) y tajadas de plátano maduro frito ¡una verdadera delicia! La historia del pabellón parte de la época de la colonia y se dice que es la unión de las sobras de otras comidas preparadas por los esclavos de las haciendas. Se hace referencia a que este plato representa las 3 grandes culturas venezolanas: europea (blanco: arroz), indígena (moreno: carne) y africana (negro: caraotas), sin embargo, esta afirmación es solo un dicho. Se piensa que este plato proviene de El Tocuyo, ciudad del estado Lara, debido a que allí se utilizan mucho los ingredientes del pabellón en muchos otros platos. El pabellón criollo representa la gastronomía venezolana en toda su expresión y forma parte de nuestra cultura y tradición.
Personalmente es uno de mis platos favoritos, disfruto mucho comerlo y en mi casa se prepara al menos 2 o 3 veces al mes, y al igual que a mi a los demás también les gusta mucho, es imposible que a alguien no pueda gustarle y disfrutar de este delicioso plato típico de nuestro país.
➤ 3. Creole Pavilion.
Last but not least, I present to you the greatest typical dish of Venezuelan gastronomy, the Creole pavilion. It is a traditional dish that consists of white rice, shredded meat, caraotas (black beans) and slices of fried ripe plantain, a true delight! The history of the pavilion starts from the colonial era and is said to be the union of the leftovers of other foods prepared by the slaves of the estates. It is mentioned that this dish represents the 3 great Venezuelan cultures: European (white: rice), indigenous (brown: meat) and African (black: beans), however, this statement is only a saying. It is thought that this dish comes from El Tocuyo, a city in the Lara state, because the ingredients of the pavilion are widely used there in many other dishes. The Creole pavilion represents Venezuelan gastronomy in all its expression and is part of our culture and tradition.
Personally it is one of my favorite dishes, I really enjoy eating it and in my house it is prepared at least 2 or 3 times a month, and like me others also like it very much, it is impossible that someone cannot like it and enjoy of this delicious typical dish of our country.
Esta aquí llega este post, debo admitir que fue muy difícil elegir solo 3 iconos de Venezuela para desarrollar pero finalmente elegí los que consideré más conocidos y representativos de este país, espero lo hayan disfrutado. This here comes this post, I must admit that it was very difficult to choose only 3 icons of Venezuela to develop but finally I chose the ones that I considered best known and representative of this country, I hope you enjoyed it.
